A girl named Ashley and her teacher Miss. Van Pelt, they have always hated each other, but now its finly happend. Ashley and her have taken it from just glares to throughing things around at each other to glueing thing on doors and lockers throughing each other's stuff out to yelling at each other in the hall. ok heres the deal. i was having a conversation with a friend the other day and we got into a bit of an argument. she believes people that do nice things- charity ect are just good people. i disagree. it is my point of view that people do theese things because it feels good. or they feel bad (guilty) if they dont. therefore doing theese things is not selfless as you are only really doing them to satisfy yourself. whats your point of view ?

I have tried to finish Joseph Hellers " Something Happened " twice . In far too many ways Bob Slocum and his fears are a reflection of me .
I relate to the contentious nature of his home life as well .
I am highly self critical and do not shy away from introspection . Its possible I feel Heller is directly criticising me through this book and I take it personally .
