What andvice do you have for children 11-12 year olds who want to sing?

have fun, practice, and dont let anyone put you down and tell you that you aren't good enough. you can acheive anything if you try hard enough. maybe talk mom and dad into letting you take vocal lessons because they really help. Good Luck

Well as i sing i would like to tell u....................
The first thing is to find out whether u have an aptitude for singing and the kind of songs u can grasp and the melodies and notes captured by ur voice. You can try singing songs of different genre and decide which best suits ur voice.If u r unable to catch the pitch u can practice fer a couple of weeks or if that doesnt work u can try any musical instrument, as singing is not an easy task.

Get into anything you can that involves singing, choirs, school musicals, singing lessons and slowly work your way up until recitals and eventually you can record your own cd to give to your family and friends or send it of to places, if your wanting to do it as a career be willing to face a shipload of rejection

go get some singing lessons. even if you sing well, its always good to get better. also try out for Musicals. do you go to church? offer to sing some hymns. alot of people have been discovered at church at school or in plays. or join a band and try to make it big. whatver you want, if thats your dream, then go for it. just don't give up! good luck :)

i would tell them to just practice take singing lessons and practice until you know your really ready and then go to the big gigs and stuff when your a little bit older and get people to reconize u first.
