I'm planning to ask this guy that works in a shop i visit very often to go out for a coffee this weekend, however, last sunday when i was in the shop looking at some cd's...i casually looked up and saw him talking to his colleague, but while talking to his colleague about some paperwork he was looking over at me...and it was a look that lasted longer than just a glance passing in my direction...then, when he looked back down to write something, he smiled to himself.... Does this mean anything or am i reading to far into it? I'd appreciate any advice! Thanks :-)

What does this tell us?
I am not into gossiping or meddling in one's personal life. I just want to hear the moral lesson to the story/case in your viewpoint.

people were abducted by a superior race by seeing a crystal and picking it up. There was also another species put on the deserted planet and the superior race wanted to see which species, the humans or the others were better.

its basically a mix between World War II and "animal farm" by george orwell. its about nazi cats versus american dogs. ive been plotting it since i was 14 years old. i mean, nazi kitties vs. dogs? come on, thats a little comedy! (but not really now) there are battles in it, like "all quiet on the western front" by erich maria remarque. its a pretty good story. it has some sad parts but i think its pretty solid. so how can i get it published?

The world was a very different place 70,000 years ago. There were no cities, towns, or farms. Back then people depended on their environment to survive. Their food, tools, and shelter were all made from things found in nature. For a long time, people were nomadic. In time, however some people began to stay in one place because they developed agriculture. and about 10,000 years ago right after the last ice age towns and farming developed. Now my question is this, they were the same species as us; "Modern Humans" with the same capacity of knowledge as us, not neanderthals. Why on earth did it take so many years for progress to happen, and why does it seem a bit suspicious that it has only been within the past 100 or 200 years that we have become "advanced" with computers cars and skyscrapers, and what on earth happened those 60,000 years. Do you think that there were other advanced civilizations just like us that were wiped out and science has not uncovered?

Basically my problem is this: I am taking color and digital photography this spring semester and am halfway through the program. Looking over my pictures, I don't believe I am progressing as much as I would like to, and I don't have a clear area as to what I should focus on. I am not even sure what kind of photographer I should be now. I thought weddings but now I am not sure. Please look at my album on webshots and provide your opinion of what you like or what you think I should focus on (please be nice). The black and white photos are from the fall semester (intermediate black and white photography), and the color ones are just digital photos from before I started school.

Thanks for your input!

"It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it."

I like it.
I think it means that one must have detachment and objectivity.

And you?

Do you frequently apply common sense, then find out it's wrong. My philosophy as been don't use common sense unless you have to. Well I violated my rule. Guess what happened. Yeah that's right. The common sense was wrong.
I was going through questions on YA. Someone asked if walking a mile burns the same amount of calories as running a mile. I said no. Because it takes more calories to get there faster. Then in the sources section I typed in "common sense". I submitted it. Then I started to worry. I went and looked it up. I was wrong. Walking a mile actually burns more calories than running a mile. I had to go back and apologize and give the right answer. Serves me right!
Do you have similiar luck when applying common sense ?
