What does this tell us?
I am not into gossiping or meddling in one's personal life. I just want to hear the moral lesson to the story/case in your viewpoint.

I feel for her (Nowak) but the way she conducted herself is very displeasing and disgusting, immoral at that. I see a figure of a role model, being looked up to by the world, who holds one of the highest positions the world has ever got to offer for a career.
Now I clearly see what Solomon has got to say in the Bible's Song of Songs. The other side of love is as strong as death, it doesn't yeild, it sweeps everything away. In this case, Nowak's intention might have been to 'sweep' but it all backfired on her, having her dignity, pride and self-esteem swept away to nothingness.
I hope she will come out of it, though I doubt it.

its a shock,,,, and i think that it would remind us, you cant judge people nor yourself (in relationship to others) based on the outside obvious things. the human mind can be fragile,,,, also, sometimes accomplishing the supposed great things in life,,,,,, fame,,,, career,, money etc does not bring security nor peace of mind,,,,,, no matter how bad it may seem to a person,, remember there are those in worse shape,,, such as this poor woman,,,, its not just a love triangle thing,,,, as a sane woman with her access and abilities, could of done it much better then what she did,, not meaning do harm, just handling it all

Well one thing is obvious. There is talk about putting her in jail for the rest of her life. That's harsh compared to anybody else. How many love crazed angry women (or men) have done something similar and gotten a slap on the wrist for it? Of course she's smart enough to know better. She lost it. She needs therapy. Why make an example of her and no one else? Why make such a productive person lose out on the rest of her life if others aren't made to as well? I really think she can be helped. Then she should be given another chance.

My comment is I could care a less. Those in shock need to get a grip on life.If it was me trying to kill my neighbor and you heard it on the news would you give a crap? Nope, you might think Im nuts and go onto the next story but I would not be in yahoo answers the next day.The word astronauts is just a word. The definition of one is NOT a person thats above the human life. They are human and nothing more.

Women are nuts all of um all of the time. There is a stellar example of **** poor judgment from someone whom was trusted with a multi billion dollar space craft and this is how she conducts herself? It is also female infatuation gone horribly wrong how selfish and deceitful can you be? She was married with kids I bet the kids dont think she's a hero anymore nor does her husband. Its time for morals to return to society they may be oppressive to some but you know what? They were developed by civilized society for a reason.

What this does is makes NASA look like fools. Not only can they not fully explore outerspace, but they cannot even control their own people. It's sad because our program should be further ahead than what it really is.
