Like...belting? I HAVE NO CLUE how to belt, and for this one song that I LOVE to sing, I want to learn how to belt and be loud, without sounding nasaly/trying too hard...It's frusterating.

When you speak normally and sing lower notes, you are automatically using chest register. If you put your hand on your chest while speaking, you can feel the vibrations.

As for belting, proper breathing and support are extremely important. You must use your diaphragm to amplify your sound, NOT your throat. I would recommend finding a voice teacher if you don't already have one, because without proper technique, belting can damage your voice over time.

I would think that you would naturally sing in your chest voice when singing the lower notes of your range. When you sing low notes, do you feel a resonance in your chest instead of your head?
