I am on a color guard team and we recently had some problems that caused us to have a very small budget. We have a performance soon doin a swing dancing routine to Zoot Suit Riot..any ideas on what we could wear for this performance?? Boys and Girls

I notice that many people when they answer a question like to put down as their source "the history channel" like that is some real valid source or something. Did it ever occur to you that maybe a show that is on one of the 5 media cable outlets maybe lie?

I was just reading this interview, here is the question and answer involved:

So that got the US much more involved in the region (The Middle East), correct?

The U.S. was already pretty involved by the post 1967 period, but what it did for the US and European countries, they realized they had taken for granted the availability of Middle Eastern Oil. And, of course, for a decade or so after 1973 smaller cars were built, cars with less horse power, AND THERE WAS A 55MPH SPEED LIMIT IN THE U.S. There was a conservation movement afoot because it was recognized that oil is a non-replenishable resource and also that the North American continent was using up its oil and would therefore become dependent on the Middle East. And because of this dependency, sure, there was a greater involvement, but a greater concern that friendly rulers dominate the oil-producing states.

I'm compiling a "Movies to Watch" list to start watching GOOD films when the mood strikes rather than take time to search for a good movie and then have little time to enjoy the film.

I also love having a list so I can have list of films I'm actually WAITING to see rather than a random flick.

I want to star in the Spring Musical, Guys and Dolls and this is my last chance because I'm a Senior.

The director, unfortunately, has her favorites who get the lead parts in EVERY play, both fall and spring. I love to do plays, but it gets discouraging when year after year I am a member of the chorus or a very small part. I show up to every practice on time, I do everything she tells me (which includes doubling for 2 roles on 1 day notice for Macbeth) and I know I'm good, she just never gives me the chance.
At the end of the January are auditions for Guys and Dolls and I really want the part of Adelaide. I have done this play with her before and her favorites would be perfect for other roles and Adelaide is one of the leads. I know I can do a good job and I'm a Senior so I need to get this, it's my last chance. I have bought the movie and the soundtrack and have practiced. How can I show her how serious I am about this part and make her want to finally give me the lead?
