Are You More Likely To Have An Imagineation If You Play Games Like House When You Were Yong?

When I was little I used to play games with my sister where we would be entirely different people. I used to come up with a lot of things to pretend. Now I write stories and stuff and was just woundering if you have a wider imagination if you play games like that when you were younger or are you just born with it?

I'd think that playing that type of games just proves that you have a good imagination. Things like that and reading are usually associated with being creative.

EDIT: So I guess what I'm saying is both? Playing games helps to develop the imagination that you were born with, I guess. But it probably also involves having been read to, reading, or other exposure to other peoples' creativity.

I think its both. everyone has imagination, some people just choose to use it more that others. I think playing pretend when you're young helps your imagination to grow.You express your imanination and creativity through music and art, and in your case writing. You're kinda still playing pretend, except instead of playing with your sister you are writing it down and making it into a story.(am i making sense?srry if im not)

I don't truly know...but I do believe that imagination begins with play...that parents who foster imagination, who do not force their children to be little adults and let them play, read to them, indulge in "tea parties" with them and let them believe that a fallen tree branch is a sword...those parents help imagination to blossom. I know this isn't what you're asking, but, its the only answer I have.

I don't have an answer for your question. But, the question reminded my of when I would play house with my sisters when we were young. They would make me be the door, and then they would slam me.
