I find it hard to be myself with others and convey who I am. I feel people are always judging me so I don't fully express myself - I don't talk enough about myself or my opinions.

Does anyone know of a good book (self help or other) which helps you accept yourself and enable you to open up? (prefeably a non-cheesy American-style book)!
Thanks!

i'm not a writer, but looking through children's books there are books for older teenagers with damn as the rudest word, and books for 12-year-olds where they're saying every cuss in the dictionary. it just seems a bit odd. are there guidelines set by editors - 'your target audience is thirteen, and this is as rude as you can be' - or something? what do you reckon should be the limits? thanks in advance for answering

He gave us the autobahn(interstate). I know we all love driving on that speedy road. Not to mention great movie villains. Learned beter abortion techniques, Jet engines, VolksWagon. Not to mention WW2 got us out of the great depression. So he killed a bunch of people, are we going to be a glass half empty or half full civilazation.

people usually have faith in living persons. But, because such persons can abandon and hurt us, it is good to believe and rely in objects. For example, your computer or your TV set will last one, two, five or ten years and more - so, in that time you can enjoy the pleasure and good time from your computer or TV. Next, it is much better to rely on your expensive car than in your wife because the car is always there for you and it cannot dissapoint you and it is more reliable than your wife.
Also, it is much better to trust in photos of pretty girls and even in porno movies because they are always there for you. Also you can trust in movies and CD-s from your colection and in your HIFI system. In such way, when you like sex, you will have it; when you like movies, you will have it, when you want emotions you can listen to love songs. All of this is much better than to trust your wife.

Is it time to start the panic or should we just do as we always do and put it off until tomorrow in the vain hope that it will get better?

We make judgments through comparative thinking. First we perceive information through our senses, then we conceive it by cross referencing it to previously existing information (everything you've learned from birth to the present moment). This brings me to my point... the information the human brain is able to perceive/conceive may only be a small fraction of the information which exists. The known universe and the physics we've concluded it's based on may only be part of a much larger form of physics which the human brain can't compute due to the difference in information type. Thus, it makes no sense to conclude with 100% certainty that anything exists or doesn't exist. This is why both theism and atheism are obsolete ideas and agnosticism (nihilism, specifically) is the only logical "belief" system. Agreed? Doesn't matter if you agree though, because nothing anybody says matters, since our minds are faulty to the point of total dysfunction.
