people usually have faith in living persons. But, because such persons can abandon and hurt us, it is good to believe and rely in objects. For example, your computer or your TV set will last one, two, five or ten years and more - so, in that time you can enjoy the pleasure and good time from your computer or TV. Next, it is much better to rely on your expensive car than in your wife because the car is always there for you and it cannot dissapoint you and it is more reliable than your wife.
Also, it is much better to trust in photos of pretty girls and even in porno movies because they are always there for you. Also you can trust in movies and CD-s from your colection and in your HIFI system. In such way, when you like sex, you will have it; when you like movies, you will have it, when you want emotions you can listen to love songs. All of this is much better than to trust your wife.

That's a good question, beautifully veiled!
So, I tried to see through and this is what I finally see..........
Only fools have faith in things or people..... the brave have faith in themselves.......the wise however have no faith, they either know or strive to know, and meanwhile they do not discount any possibility on the basis of any faith or belief, because they know that blind faith can be a hindrance to discovering real knowledge.

“If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal, not to people or things.”
I understand your thinking, but it is twisted. Of course, people will let you down, not live up to our expectations, betray and disappoint us. The quest is to find the most ideal situation and arrangement. The analogies that you make... car better than wife, porno better than another human being, music and movies for emotional release... BAD!
Everyone has their own philosophy, It sounds to we that you're worshiping idols. Many people and religions do the same. What happens when the statue breaks or is stolen? What happens when the picture fades? What happens when the power goes out? If you're content with yourself and your own thoughts and beliefs, you can be content with anyone else too.

((((hugs)))) You're having a bad day, right?
It'll get better. In a few days you'll be thinking of a few choice ways of disposing of your wife's body, and then you'll just lapse into thinking of ways to torture her, and eventually she won't seem important at all. Enjoy your stuff, and when you're ready you can join the living again. Although, um, we're real people here.. All the best.

Absolutely not!!.....
What good is faith in a radio whose wires wear away?
What good is faith in a tv whose light becomes dim?.....
What good is faith in a computer whose time has slowed it down?......
In objects, there is no faith...... Objects have a limitation, as do people..... Nothing, of this world, lasts forever...... Even rocks wear down... mountains tumble.... faith in anything beneath the heavens, will never last.......

Ginger

It is good, in a way, but too much faith in objects could destroy your faith in living things.

Wow dude, that's pretty sad. You can't get love or companionship from objects. You can't go on vacation or have a child with your TV. Someday they won't be enough for you.
