some authors write their books all out of place... why do they tell the story and then jump to a different part of the story and come rite bak to the previous? why why why.. it gets confusing!!!!

Technique .. just like memories recall, you recall about what had already happen. Trying to make it like real life.

Its called illuding. No it should not confuse you. When they digress, it is usually to give you more information about the character and their thoughts or to enlighten you to why the act a certain way. Remember, there has never been a story told that has actually had a true beginning. If this were the case, the author would not have to go back in story time time give you background on the character or the plot that the character is involved in.

Some writers like this, and so do some readers. It's all part of the postmodernist technique - a break from traditional concepts of what we think of as a narrative - rather than a linear plot the story traces events as they happen to characters. A good example is 'Pulp Fiction'.
If you don't like this kind of thing then that's not a problem. I don't like Jane Austen novels, so I don't read them.

This is the art of writing, for example at the begining of the book you can understand the end. Some writers have flashbacks just like in films. Some of them write in direct line without digressions.
