Okay, I don't really get the meaning of this poem. Really and there's no reference to his poems. 10 points people. Work it and I'll love you long time.

Please tell me what your idea of self righteousness is.
And could we all be guilty of it, at times?

or both! Seems that its unfashionable to say anything positive about the British Empire these days. However modern India (incl. Pakistan, Bangladesh & Nepal) were basically created by britain. Civil Service, Industry, Rail & Road systems, Legal framework, the nation state etc. Likewise Sub Saharan Africa, which had basically been a total backwater prior to British involvement. Sure there were some bad things, my own people the Assyrians were misused and duped by Britain, but on the whole the empire advanced its subject regions in almost every way, creating industry, an economy, education system, healthcare, govornment, transport systems, legal systems, as well as imparting the very useful english language.

Roald Dahl is the author who intrigued me the most at school, and after reading my first Dahl book (Danny the Champion of the World) inspired me to want to become a writer and author in my own right (no pun intended). So my questions are (a) What is your favourite Roald Dahl book and (b) and why?

Life is full of many material and tangible things, but what about things such as love or hate. These are things that cannot be truly defined by science, yet they can be more powerful than anything that one can see, or touch. Without love, and hate, we would be as robots, existing for nothing......yet for some reason, our lives seem to be guided by these emotions that we cannot explain? Do you think love was an accident of nature?

To The Tune Of

"Goodbye" should only last a moment, a day, a week, a month
But the paths of life diverge our hearts, and it's these paths that surely trump
All our feelings left inside, when ones who were are gone
And it's in this moment, this awful time, when we truly feel alone
A value of vernacular voices vintaged deep within our vices
A democracy of deciept and doom that is the life to all devices
And leaving me alone, stone cold, will sadden me to pieces
'Cause freedom is a hardened cow, and my love deserves it leashes
****

I made this poem after discovering that a friend who I harboured a great deal of 'feelings' for was moving away. Oh and "cow" is suppose to be *****, but it would deter to the look of the poem.

Wether you admit it or not, people get replaced when they die. Widows remarry or get involved in other things. Is love really that shallow? Doesn't it go beyond death? If it does, then why is the marriage promise just "till death do us part?"

Is this then perhaps the reason why men have a stronger body and women a stronger mind?
If so, is flexibility a strength or a weakness?

Request your well considered answers please... and many thanks in anticipation!!

I heard something like "sartifigo"! First the whole painting is made with watercolor, probably on some thicker paper, and then by scratching some parts of the surface you get white parts on the painting. For example - landscape painting, and a town on a hill is scratched to white.
