I just answered a similar question a few minutes ago, and suggested one of the American Girl plays. They're short, clean, and almost always have a valuable moral at the end. Their age group is perfect for American Girl plays :)

You'll likely get many valid answers here, but I suggest,,,"From Life"

Without knowing what the "ceremony" relates too, but "Getting it" with regard to the Girl Scouts, I offer this.

Use your already REAL LIFE situations, taking experiences and context from what you, as a group, do. Relate that to an audience even in a kind of advertisement, or expression to an audience regarding what the Girl Scouts are all about.

A simple, and timely theme would be wrap the entire play around some act of generosity and caring toward your community, during this holiday season.

I have to believe there are enough real life experiences in your group that you could craft a short "play" around, and not actually have to "memorize" lines from anyone elses work. One good thing about crafting your own is that it can largely be unscripted, and the interaction between the girls will have already taken place on occasion, hence being natural.

The one act, one scene performance could take place in a mock up of your meeting place, a slumber party, a camp out, or simply be about preparing for the holiday, in whatever ways the Girl Scouts, in general, get involved with each other and the community.

I'd suggest that they might enjoy doing a Dr. Seuss poem. They'd have a lot of fun with it. I saw a wonderful sword fight scene one time with each combatant doing Green Eggs and Ham, as each spoke they took the aggressive move, it was delightful. At the end, the loser on the ground said, "I think I like green eggs and ham."

Children's books are short, they have a cadence and I'd think 12 year old girls would embrace it.

A scene out of Little Women would work nicely.
