There are some dance schools that have enough customers to separate by age groups, but most of them don't. The one I know on the West coast is Genesis (San Francisco and LA, google them, they are awesome). There are schools in NY and Utah too. Other than that - just join in any good quality adult class. Really, it is about skill not age. My classes have people of all ages. Younger people tend to progress faster and advance to the next level. Anyone who's acting weird or inappropriately are asked to live the class, so don't worry about sleazy guys too much. You can find something on www.ballroomdancers.com in your area I'm sure.

Not popular, but there are some studios that offer group classes for teens. But you'll get more from private lessons one-on-one with a teacher who will probably be in his twenties or thirties. Plan a mix of the two. And it's not that weird once you get into it. I dance with ladies in their teens and in their eighties and enjoy it all. It's dancing, not dating.

Just join in, any beginner will be great for a practice partner. never mind the age as its all about skill here, not age. you can do age when you do contests or displays. contact your local clubs and see, they may even have a younger class set aside for your age group.

no longer conventional, yet there are some studios that furnish team training for youngsters. yet you will get extra from inner maximum training one-on-one with a instructor who will in all hazard be in his 1920s or Nineteen Thirties. Plan a mix of the two. And it is not that strange as quickly as you get into it. I dance with women folk of their youngsters and of their Eighteen Eighties and luxuriate in all of it. it particularly is dancing, no longer relationship.
