He didn't say "rivers of blood". It was "the Roman who saw the River Tiber foaming with much blood". Of course he got it right. Don't say "fortunately I won't live to see it", because unless you plan to croak next week, you WILL live to see it.

Not yet - or not yet due to fighting between Caucasian and non-Caucasian Brits which is what I think he meant. However, Enoch Powell himself thought his prophesy had come true quoting the riots in the 1980s in Toxteth, Brixton and Handsworth. Personally, I become more and more depressed, the older I get. The involvement of the UK in the totally inept and illegal invasion of Iraq has , IMHO, increased racial tensions in the UK and made the UK a target for Islamic fundamentalists bent on war with the Christian west. Quite wrongly, some Brit Caucasians see all UK Muslims as 'an enemy'. Fortunately, they are in a very small minority at present. Should there be more terrorist attacks, perhaps with great loss of life, I could see that it would not be inconceivable that a demagogue might arise who would fan the flames and set off racial fighting. I do hope I'm wrong.
