This is my new drawing that needs a critique! Any constructive criticism helps. =] .. I know the facial structure is a little off, but I can't put my finger on it.

About all I remember is that this small-town pastor finds this big black dog that responds to Bible verses, adopts an abandoned or orphaned kid, and falls in love with the lady next door.

I have two pieces of information I need to know. I might need more later!! I am writing a story about London in World War II, and I need to know: what did they call their living room? A living room? Parlor? What? Plus what was the real word for the German bombing planes? I don't want to call them bombing planes in my story!!!

i'm doing a research paper on a book,& the book's author has to live outside of the U.S. (ex:John Flanagan wrote Ranger's Apprentice Series, lives in Australia).I was going to do John Flanagan's first Ranger's Apprentice book,The Ruins of Gorlan, but it's too new.i forgot that it takes awhile for critics to review a book.after looking at 5 or 6 books, that didn't work,i'm now doing Anne McCaffrey's The White Dragon, part of the Pern series.i have like 4 or 5 good literary criticism sites, but i can't find anything for her book, the white dragon.the kind of literary criticism i'm looking for is on something of the White Dragon, like Jaxom's relationship to Ruth (his dragon),& how it conflicts with his duty to be lord of his hold, what he & Ruth think,& what others in the story think,etc..an ex.,like something like that.i was just wondering if anybody knew of place(s) where i could find critiques on Anne McCaffrey's The White Dragon?i'm at a loss for where else to look.any ideas,on the internet?

Until this year, I had always seen beauty as say....my crush, essica Simpson, and Johny Dep, for example. But only now, i just thought of this: what makes a human beautiful physically?

you can say that they're pleasing to look at. But WHYare they pleasing to look at? And WHAT MAKES THEM pleasing to look at? I don't understand it. I know this person is considered beautiful, but at the same time I don't understand what beautiful truly means.

i know this is quite a question, but could someone offer some insight?

I'm going to borrow it from my friend tomorrow but is it worth reading? And why did the churches make such a big deal about it?

Standing there,
Side by side,
With my friend,
Who is the tide.

When she comes in,
And tickles my toes,
I look down at her,
With a smile that lows.

As we look up,
And see the birds glide,
My friend gets noisy,
As they fly over my side.

Just as the sun sets,
And the cool breeze blows,
I say goodbye,
Just as she goes.

For I am a tree,
And she is the sea,
And all I am doing,
Is standing there.

I have recently come into possession of a small pin which has piqued my curiousity. Although it does not appear to have any value at first glance I am somewhat interested as to what it represents.
I have done extensive research on the internet myself but to no avail.
I thought perhaps someone in the Yahoo! Answers community might chance upon the question and be able to provide some helpful insight. A description is as follows:

The pin is approximately 1" in length and 1/2" wide with a crown at the top.
The face is red, there is a cross with a box in the middle of it which has the letters "C" and "X" inside of it. The letter "X" is inside of the letter "C".
On the bottom of the pin face on either side of the base of the cross are two dates; the years 1870 on the left and 1945 on the right.

Despite my best efforts I have as yet to figure out what exactly the symbol represents. Any help would be appreciated.
