So I have a fairly large canvas.. I plan to just make an abstract piece but I need ideas on what types of things are fun to play around with and create textures (ie. paint, material, gauze, charcoal...) ??

i think i just discovered i am an idealist, i am looking up information about it and it all seems so negitive. I always considered myself a realist, but i guess i have changed over the past few years and find my self thinking in a more idealist way. Is this a bad way to look at life?

He searched for a victim of his vermin,
He swam across the seas.
And there he'd rest,
until death let,
The victim of him free.

The men who fought this monster,
Will fight but shan't succeeed.
For the creature from hell,
Will find them as well,
And they themselves shall bleed.

But you shan't know this evil beast,
Till he is inside you.
And there he'll grow,
And then you'll know,
My tragedy is true.

For this poem and for many lives,
This is the final stanza.
The monster came,
Revealed his name,
The monster's name was cancer.

After many years of contemplating the mind and the universe, god, human nature, Ive come to some conclusions. If the very stuff matter is made from "the atom" is unexplainable in science, infact the atomic world makes a complete nonsence of physics. So if the particles reality is built from do not conform to the rules of reality then there must be no true reality. Weve been educated to believe that we and the world are real but science has actually stumbled onto the fact that its all ridiculous, because the foundations of reality are not real. Therefore I ask if the percieved world is really just what we have made it in our minds. Buddhism and actually all religions believe in a higher state of being, a hyper reality, nirvana or heaven. Maybe they are right afterall. Anyhow considering these points I wanted to ask, if events in your life make you feel happy or sad, then can your simply feeling happy or sad result in changing actual events into good or bad things. This is metaphysics.

Tom Clancy never had any of his fictional books go door to door by a President as I had my factual one. He probably didn't even serve in the US Navy or go on a Submarine or flown in a P-3 or Helicopter or have his "Ditch Witch" or "Blue Nose" or even been to Gitmo.....He is a losy writer and not as good looking as I am.

I'm looking for a book that covers all the different aspects of yoga as well as all the types of yoga. I just started doing what I think is called Astanga yoga. I am so confused though because there are so many different words to remember and different types of yoga (ie. plasha yoga, asana, and I can't remember all the rest). I want something like an encyclopedia of yoga, so that I can learn about the philosophy, the types of yoga, the meanings of all the words, the history, the poses, the mantras, etc. I don't want a book that focuses on just one type of yoga or on just one aspect of yoga. There are plenty of those. It's like a wild goose chase trying to find the essential stuff to read. Is there a book that covers all of the yogas?
