Don't quit. Ballet isn't supposed to be easy, which makes your accomplishments at the end of the day to the end of your career even more powerful and something to really be proud of.
I can understand the stress thing. I had home troubles sometimes, and so much going on for activities and the school work, and then ballet on top of it all STRESSFUL. But it gets better if you stick with it and you love it. You can't stop.
Don't be intimidated by people in your class. There is always people who will be better than others. Look at what she does, take it, and use it to improve.
But always focus on your own dancing. You should mind your own business and dancing and so should she. If she is being mean to you tell the instructor, they don't tolerate that kind of behavior.
I hope everything works out, you decide to stay, and you grow as a dancer!

Never let another person keep you in the way of doing something you love. if thats your main problem, i say definetly go for it and take it 2nd semester!
Sometimes its really hard to deal with stress, and trust me, I know that it can make you want to quit. But think to yourself how much you love ballet. Is it worth it? Is the ending payoff worth the stress your under now? I say if you really love it, you should give it another try and see if you cant make it through.

You said you love ballet; you shouldn't let anyone intimidate you. You should go back because if you don't you will be even more stressed out. You are probably better than that girl anyway.

Don't let her intimidate you! Since you quit for the first semester she's gonna think that you're scared of her and intimidated by her. You've got to show her who's boss. Face your fears and do what you love. Just ignore her and focus on the dancing. If she's gettting really out of control, then you might cosider telling your dance teacher, anonomously, of course. Follow your heart and do what you love. Don't let this girl tell you what to do. I believe in you.

Go back! This girl is ovious just trying to sweat you because she sees that your a good dancer and she is imtimanited by you. If you love to dance wither its ballet or anything else you don't quit for that reason. Just relax and focus on the dance not on the peple

I say you should go back if you really love it, because if you try to go back when you are older, it will be much harder to regain your strength and flexibility.
