I'm going to borrow it from my friend tomorrow but is it worth reading? And why did the churches make such a big deal about it?

it's not a bad book, but it's not very good either. the reason it's so popular is the Christian Mythology subject matter, which most people consider pretty interesting, whether it's true or false. It can be quite hard to put down, it moves at a very good pace.

I examine The DaVinci Code till now any of the hype surronding it and fond the e book rather relaxing. i got here upon that the non secular factors grant an extremely exciting area to the story. regardless of their truthfulness, I nonetheless locate that the help in making the e book exciting and great to envision. I did locate nonetheless that the prequel to The DaVinci Code became surely extra useful than the DaVinci Code itself. As weird and wonderful as this sounds nonetheless, examine The DaVinci Code first. the two memories have great plots, are very suspenseful and are somewhat riveting reads.

It was fun to read, but everyone is right, it wasn't very well written. It was kind of like reading an action comic - Pow - it's the Knight's Templar! Zowie - there's a woman in the Last Supper! And the end was so funny - they're being hunted to the end of the earth and it's like suddenly, oh, I'm tired of writing this, I guess you'll be okay with these people. Angels and Demons was similarly written. That said, I couldn't put either down!

If you read it and consider that it IS FICTION, and that the story is just a plain old GOOD story.

The church did not like the book since it assumes that Jesus was married and that there are fictional parts about the Bible. If one is a Bible believing Christian (as I hope many of the Church people are!! and I am one too) then the book will do no harm to your spirituality, but HEY!! why clutter the mind with 'supposed' truths?

It is very good but very contrevesial, because of the premise that Jesus had a child. I had been uncertain as to whether or not I wanted to read it or see the movie, but I eventually saw the movie and then borrowed the book from my Mom.

I could not put it down! Just today though, I had a discussion about Angels and Demons being better apparently. This is not a problem, because I really did like Da Vinci's Code!

A great work of literature - a resounding no. A fun, can't put it down, fast-paced read - a resounding yes! I read it at night before going to sleep and it kept me up for hours. Angels and Demons is very similar.

It's a fascinating storyline, but it's not very well written. People made a big deal about it because it states that Jesus wasn't the son of God, that he was just a regular guy, and that he was married.

No it is poorly written. I only read it because I knew that friends wanted to go see the movie. Christians don't like it because it questions the divinity of Christ, among other things.
