This is a poem I wrote about 2 years ago; I was looking thru a box of stuff and found it; my friend had published it in her monthly newsletter. You'll find themes about God, as I am a Christian. Thoughts on it? Do you like it? Thanks! :-)

"June"

Sol raises his golden head
from pillow of cloud and azure bed
Stately pines, emerald bedecked
at passing winds do genuflect
mounted on their greening slopes
gems in an airy kaleidoscope
water white, a crashing rebel
against its rocks and nomad pebbles
June in all her flawless glamour
makes my common senses clamor
splendor of the departing spring
giving my heart the desire to sing
the praises of our Creator Lord
Whose adoration my strength affords
And worship to the Only One
Who makes the sky, the earth, and sun
Can we who witness this be still
And not the earth His praises fill?
Perish the thought the rocks cry out
And nature rob the privilege to shout
The honor of our God and King
Let us give our hearts' offerings.

What are some of your favorite symbols in novels? Not motifs or a theme, an actual symbol- like a sword, or pet, or some sort of item or thing that represents something. Thanks.

Are righteousness and malevolence acts that could only be committed against other people? If one is in confinement of solitude, coming in contact with no other persons or animals, is it possible that said person could commit any of these acts?

If so, what is judged as good and evil are only in the context of company.

Is it possible that one could commit these acts upon oneself?

If so, could it be said that any malevolence, be it towards others, or nature, or oneself, is only deleterious to the one committing said acts?

Why do we call actions made by people, and people only for the most part, good or bad?

I heard of this group that would dress up in medieval-style clothing and create characters such as elves, royalty, and thieves. They would then go some place like a park and play their parts to make some sort of live story. How exactly does this work? What are some rules for winning/loosing or how the different characters can act? What do they do if a non-player talks to them? Is there any fantasy worlds available to use as settings for free, or do they get that from books like Lord of the Rings? I would like to hear any info or experiences you have with live role playing (NOT interested in the online or board-game kind).
