Let's get to the meat of the matter. The absolute worse thing ever happen to you is that you die. But not doing something the best you can and having to live with the regret of What if? or would have, should have, could have, is almost as bad as dying. Change is a necessary part of life, fear is not. Fear is what holds you back.

Think of it this way. Every person in front of you is afraid of something. In that respect they're no different than you are. And jumping into the void, taking realistic chances are what defines the best most memorable parts of our lives.

Someone once said "Greatness can only be achieved through great risk". If you have to focus on an empty row of seats and imagine your family and friends sitting there and that you are singing to them. Let their strength steady you and then let go and jump into the void. I promise you that you won't regret it.

I have horrible stage fright and what always helps me is to rehearse over and over. I get very comfortable with my material, and I'll perform in front of a few friends to get feedback. The day of an audition, I get warmed up and I keep telling myself I can do this, I know this, this is what I've been working for. It helps calm me and keep me focused. The nerves are still there, but I feel so solid in my preparation that I sail through the audition and no one sees the nerves. Remember to breathe, relax, and don't lock your knees! Break a leg!

what you have to do is when you reach the place where you are going to sing.....you stand there and bury your feet to the ground like you bury your feet in the sand at a beach.then lock your knees so that you don't shake.then your eyeballs should be moving in a 'W' shape where the audience and judges are sitting but don't look at them coz you can get nervous by that so just make the w shape at theiur direction.hold your hands tight together at the back so that you don't move them in nervousness.this is a funny one............just look at people and think that they are in their undergarments if you get very nervous so that you can give your performance with a smile.Trust me..........all this works coz even I had stage fright and I did all this and it worked.SORRY FOR THE BIG ANSWER(lol).

Being nervous is ok. Just remember that everyone that is watching you wants you to do good. I have done commercials and one tv show. When I speak, act or sing, I just pretend it is one of my friends or family and let everyone else fade from sight. Role play, if you must, when you walk on stage. Pretend you are your favorite star and act like them. Everyone listening are just human beings, thats all. Not everyone has talent like you and they get the chance by watching you.

Break a leg!!

You'll still feel the pangs in your tummy, but put mind over matter and get up there. Now remain poised, look above everyones head not making eye contact. Periodically turn you head to present yourself (as) making contact, give your presentation, if you do make an oops don't freak out, don't look at peoples eyes simply smile and recompose, continue. If they are laughing don't worry you can blow it off laugh slightly with them and continue. BELIEVE in yourself, you CAN do it. Good luck!

I always have a shot of black sambucca before I go on stage. It might not work for everyone but I find it relaxes me (and my vocal folds) just enough without loosing control.
You just need to find your own way though. I don't really do it to combat stage fright, it's just kinda habit now.

you need to practise ,almost ereryone success through this way,no one success on the frist time.
you can practise in front of your family or your friends, who can pick out your mistake, and imagine you are facing the public.Several times later you will get rid of fear and go on well.

it is all about practice. the more you do it, the more you will get used to it & become comfortable. also, the more you believe in yourself and have confidence, the more you will relax.
