Take professional affordable photographs, with your name you wish to use on them with your height, weight, eye color, hair color, age, and ad briefly your talents, such as can you dance, sing, play and instrument do cartoon voices etc., and take 3 pix, each one different. Pick 3 characters you like to play and costume yourself to that part. Whether it be Zorro, Harry Potter, or Luke Skywalker any role you feel you can immulate. It is wise to have one bad guy, good guy, funny guy. The funny guy is important and much more than serious and dramatic for comedy is the hardest. Practice the looks you make in each role before you take these photos. When you are pleased with the outcome of the photos. Send a copy to Shirley Hamilton Agency in Chicago, Illinois and Ann Geddes Agency as well. Then look for other agencies in your area and do the same make sure you include the parent and or guardian phone number of which they will have to sign for any engagements. If you can go to a drama school that has an equal balance of drama and comedy and physical stunts as well. If there are no stunts or physical then find a gym like at school and work out because body tone is important for live on stage and in film you must be slim or you look twice your weight.

I've had somewhat an experience in the film industry, I suggest you look for a local theatre in your area/city. Start with some local community plays/musicals or even school plays. Soon when you develope the skills and talents you can go to open casting calls. If you already have the schools, ask your school's Drama Teacher or go to a local theatre and ask the director for some connections if possible. If you have more questions I'm always glad to answer them, my email is wiredforlyfe@yahoo.com

GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR ACTING CAREER

Hey! I'm 12 too! I am in like a billion shows a year. It is so much fun! I am actually in one now. Its called FARGONGO. The best way to find plays to try out for(usually the best to start with) then look in the local newspaper. I'm sure you'll find plenty of plays to try out for.

Take classes and audition like mad. Once you get some experience, create a photo-resume and get an agent.

Good luck!
