more times than what expected when i look up at the moon, it almost in always in the crescent shape; uncanny. so thus i state that it is LAUGHING AT ME! staring down from the cold, unforgiven heavens, laughing at my struggles of the day gone bye. WHY?!?!

The moon is associated with the mind for various reasons, the basic being astrological. Out of years of steady and continuous observation, over centuries, learned ones have noticed a co-relation to man's mental behaviour with the changing phases and the position of moon.
Your experience is just another personal evidence that may not at all seem acceptable to others, for want of similar experience within them ! Nevertheless, an open minded person has to concede, atleast some relation, by looking at fishermen avoiding deep seas on full moon days, by looking at warden of mental health institutions doing extra work on full moon days.

Perhaps because you are a "fool on a hill." Try getting off the hill and not acting like a fool. Then, instead of laughing at you, you will see that the moon is actually smiling at you!
