Everyone you love is hanging off a cliff which is crumbling...you can only save one person...who do you save?

Ok it's hypothetical, so never mind the logistics of how they all came to be dangling off this cliff blah blah blah. Just go with your gut instinct. If you had to choose, who would it be & why?

(& no, there is no magical way that you can save everybody!)

Is satire a dead or dying art form in the contemporary world?

I'm thinking here not only in terms of political, social or religious satire but also of a broader application of satirical humor, using irony and "inversion"," even the macabre to reveal folly.

Case in point:

A recent question on Yahoo! Answers inquired, "How do you survive a Zombie Attack?" I viewed this as a perfectly valid question, one that I could have fun with and maybe poke a little fun at Hollywood with. So I gave the following satirical answer. My question, in addition to the above, is why my relatives would stare at me as though I were losing my mind for writing this:

would you be willing to give up 60% of your earned income in return for having your basic needs met? Basic needs being food, shelter, medical care et.al. the rest of yur income will be your play money. based on averages this would allow the arrogant to have their cake and eat it too and would relieve the poor from fear and anxiety. fear of loosing their home if they go overboard on credit cards. As for myself I am doing pretty well financially but my job entail listening to a lot of people who are not.

Harry Potter readers please help …….About Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince?

I have just started reading the 6th book, but for some reason I doubt its genuineity. Reason being, the book starts with situation where Potter and his cousin Dudley have become friends. And their neighbor Mrs.Figg mentions at one place that Ministry of Magic has intensified its search for Sirius Black. Now how can that be when he was already dead in the previous book. Also, Potter tells Dudley that he (Dudley) is also a wizard because his mother Petunia Dursley was a witch and craziest of all this is that Harry tells Dursley that Petunia and her sister i.e Harry’s mother were Voldemort’s daughters.
Harry Potter readers please help before I am done with the trash.
