Is there a college of music near you? Try to find out if it has a library. Music libraries at colleges often carry complete works of composers (such as Bach) in their research section. These are the original versions. The music librarian who works there can help you figure out how to find the Lute suites in the complete works. As far as being able to purchase that--many of them have been arranged for guitar. Try Barenreiter publishers as well--out of Germany; they may publish it. As far as what kind of lute it's written for--I have no idea. Sorry!
