I would prefer one that is written for a cast of around 15 with 5 or 6 main characters. The numbers are not absolutely essential.

I would recommend a play called "Kind Lady." Sorry but I don't have the author's name at hand. There are no supernatural elements involved, but it is in a real sense a horror because it deals with a woman whose life and home are slowly, irrevocably taken from her. Creepy, scary and when it works well it should give you the true feeling of claustrophobia.

Funny scary ; "Arsenic and Old Lace" and "Cat and The Canary"

All the plays people are talking about are scary plays. The Phantom of the Opera is somewhat scary.

Also...its the Woman in White....not The Woman in black....

I've always had a particular fondness for Ira Levin's "Deathtrap," which absolutely has a couple of sure-fire make-the-audience-gasp moments in it.

It's not a big cast show, however: 3 men, 2 women.

"Nightwatch," "Sorry,Wrong Number," "The Mousetrap," "Wait Until Dark," "Veronica's Room," "Ravenscroft," "Night Must Fall," "The Innocents," "The Desperate Hours," "Laura," "The Haunting of Hill House."

I agree with the above answer - "Kind Lady" is quite good.
