Oswald acted alone. Well, that's what the Warren Commission determined, anyway. What really happened in Dealy Plaza is still up to considerable debate. There are many theories as to what really happened, and a lot of credible witnesses have contradicted the official party line. What we do know is that Lee Harvey Oswald was in the Texas School Book Depository on the day it happened, left there after the assassination, took a bus home, got a gun, shot a police officer, was involved in an on foot chase, and was finally aprehended in a movie theatre. He never admitted to shooting Kennedy and was very vocal to the effect that he had been set up. Unfortunately for Oswald he himself was assassinated by mob hitman Jack Ruby before a trial could be held.
Was it an inside job? Maybe. Did Oswald simply act alone? Maybe. Unfortunately for you (but very fortunate to prefessional historians!), it's up to considerable debate.
Good luck!

John F. Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963. Official investigations have repeatedly determined Lee Harvey Oswald was the assassin, but critics allege that Oswald acted as part of a conspiracy or was not involved at all and was framed. Kennedy's assassination is considered to be a defining moment in U.S. history due to its traumatic impact on the nation as well as on the political history of the ensuing decades, his subsequent branding as an icon for a new generation of Americans and American aspirations, and for the mystery and conspiracy allegations that surround it.

We may never know the whole truth, cover-ups didn't start or end with the Kennedy era. I think Lee Harvey Oswald pulled the trigger but I think there was more to it than what we, the general public, really know.
