i believe that he is everywhere, he is the most powerful and i believe that he has created everything. but i dont believe that he is kind, if you want something from a mankind, even the most crual one, after 2 years demands, for sure he/she will accept it, but god, isn't so. i just have 1 wish in my life, and god never wanted to make me happy by accepting it. so how god is kind?

I like books about vampires, werewolves and supernatural stuff. I already have a complete set from Anne Rice, Laurell K Hamilton, MaryJanice Davidson, Charlaine Harris and Kim Harrison.

There were lots of times where I wanted to cry while watching a movie such as Titanic and The Notebook. Should a man cry?

I always forced myself not to shed tears when I wanted to because people say a man never cry and I always do what is best for me not what I really wanted. Is it too late to turn back?

KINDNESS Pays !

One day, a
poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay his
way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was
hungry.
He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost
his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door. Instead of a meal
he asked for a drink of water. She thought he looked hungry so brought
him a large glass of milk. He drank it slowly, and then asked, "How
much do I owe you?"

"You don't owe me anything," she replied "Mother has taught us never
to accept payment for a kindness." He said... "Then I thank you from
my heart."

As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt; stronger
physically, but his faith in God and man was strong also. He had been
ready to give up and quit.

Years later that young woman became critically ill. The local doctors
were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city, where they called
in specialists to study her rare disease. Dr. Howard Kelly was called
in for the consultation. When he heard the name of the town she came
from, a strange light filled his eyes.
Immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her room.
Dressed in his doctor's gown he went in to see her. He recognized her
at once. He went back to the consultation room determined to do his
best to save her life. From that day he gave special attention to the
case.

After a long struggle, the battle was won. Dr. Kelly requested the
business office to pass the final bill to him for approval. He looked
at it, then wrote something on the edge and the bill was sent to her
room.
She feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her
life to pay for it all. Finally, she looked, and something caught ;
her attention on the side as She read these words.....

"Paid in full with one glass of milk." (Signed) Dr. Howard Kelly.

Tears of joy flooded her eyes as her happy heart prayed: "Thank You,
GOD, that Your love has spread abroad through human hearts and hands."

I have come to the conclusion everything I do is searching for the truth. I probe others, ask questions, look others in the eye for answers, and my hobbies are temporary distractions from my brain that never turns off this philosophical question.

What is your favourite book of his other than Power of One? Looking for something new to read...

2006-08-24 03:08:02 · 1 answers · asked by ontario ashley 4 in Books & Authors

I got it from the library and read it about 10 years ago. The book seemed pretty old then, so I think it was written quite a while ago.

The plot - In the beginning of the book all the females on earth suddenly disappear and the men and boys are left alone trying to figure out what happened to them and keep things going without them.

Later in the book we find that the women are living on a parallel earth where all the males have disappeared and they are also trying to figure out what happened and cope with their new world.

This book was very good. I wish I could remember the name. Do you know it?

I am a beginning oriental dancer. I don't feel I know traditional Egyptian music well enough to interpret it through dance. However I can feel and understand some of the Amr Diab lyrics (through translations). I probably won't be dancing for arabic people as I live in Japan. However I don't want to insult the art.
