what are some things you think they believe in? why do people prejudice against mormons? why do people hate the mormons so much? why are people so mean to them? i am a girl with lots of mormon friends. I just don't understand why people are so mean to them and think they beleive and worship ridiculous things when they don't!!!!
please awnser this. it would mean a lot!

people tend to hate or dislike what they have little awareness of. just look at the hatred towards muslims.
i'd say the mormons are pretty strict as far as christians go, and along with 7th day adventists, may actually be a thinner, LESS FAT group of people compared to other christians or americans in general which shows me they care a bit for the body God gave them.

Well basically theres alot of weird stuff about mormons, i know some personally and they are very cool people. But they believe some very "off the wall" things, per se...
1. There are three levels of heaven and most of us aren't going to heaven #1 which is like the Heaven of all Heavens, you have to be mormon to go there
2. They believe that black people are black because they were punished by god (in the book of mormon they call it marked skin)
3. The guy who founded the mormon religion was a convicted fraud (joseph smith).
4. Most of the people I have found who hate the mormons are ex-mormons. There are even websites dedicated to it, so I think those people speak for themselves.
5. You cannot do anything on sundays because god wants you to rest. Mormons don't go out at all on sunday because tahts advocating other people "not resting". However, if you give millions to the mormon church like that football player then you can be excused and allowed to work on sundays.
Basically, its just weird and doesn't really sit right with alot of people. I happen to like my friends who happen to be mormon and they all know not to come over on saturday morning while i'm hungover.

I don't know why. I think that people are a little scared of us mormons. When the church first started people were cruel because they didn't want to change. I don't think that has ever changed.
As far as Christianity goes, any one who follows a religious path based on a belief in Christ is a Christian. So Mormons are Christian.

The fact that Mormons are so avoided is because they come to shove their religion down our throats on a saturday morning. Most people go out on friday night. These people come knocking on our doors at an inappropriate time, then get shocked when we are rude to them. They seem to not even care is the people if the people that they talk to are socially interested in the road to salvation that they are on. They are impartial to other religions. I feel harassed by their appearance on a saturday morning, while I am hung over.
their timing is not unlike as telephone salesperson........
Calling in when they know everyone will be home and vunerable . ...it's sneaky and rude....
If people want to convert, they will. if you are bullying anyone into believing in the power of god, then what kind of convert are they going to be??

I have some close mormon friends too. There really seem to be some people who hate them and some people who think they are perfect. Of course, they're not perfect and they will be the first to admit it to you.

We should avoid forming opinions because an opinion is really a judgement, is it not? The Mormans I have known personally have been sincere but convinced they are the only ones that have the "true" word of God via their prophet. I say live and let live and harm none.

Like any religion there are those that go too far and give a bad name to everyone. I don't believe in alot of the things they do, but that doesn't mean I'm going to treat them badly.

My opinion is that they are very nice people who are very wrong. As for what they beleive and worship, well..."ridiculous" is relative so I guess that depends on your personal opinion.
