Yes, everyone should cry when they feel that way, it's natural and helps to keep us mentally healthy. Bottling emotions up gradually destroys our health (physical as well!) People get hypertension from it. It is lovely to see a man who is able to express his emotions, and not just of anger (which seems to be the emotion men are conditioned to show) Crying is release of distress. Most humans don't seem to realize this fact unfortunately. You hear people telling their babies not to cry, when the crying actually heals them. (They do this because they have had it done to them and the crying triggers their own unhealed (unconscious) memories). So go to it, have a good howl when you need to!
Unfortunately some women don't understand this, so be careful who you tell, but don't let it stop you. If more people cried they wouldn't go to useless psychiatrists!

Yes a man can and should cry when he feels like it. There is no reason to hide those emotions because someone has told you that you cannot cry because you are a man. That is an old myth and idea because those men felt they couldn't show emotions or were too afraid to show their emotions so they put up a wall around their heart.
Be free to express who you are - no one else knows what is best for you other than you. If you don't know what is best for you - look into your heart and find the answer rather than to other people to tell you what is best.

When you feel like it you should. The first times it may be difficult because you did not before. But it's an interesting experience for you and you will learn and grow by giving it a try.
My boyfriend who is an extremely "manly" man sometimes cries, some topics, movies, situations just catch his heart and set his eyes in tears. Those are very bonding moments, I love him then more than ever.

Of course. As a guy, I was raised that it is always okay to cry. My dad set a good example in that regard. he told me once that he hopes I never lose the desire or the ability to cry. He said as I grow older, the things I cry over will change to an extent, but to never be ashamed of my emotions. And, I'm not.

Not necessarily to movies – for the story, lighting, and music plays on your emotions. But a man should cry in ‘real life’ – in response to quiet beauty, great sacrifice or tragedy, and another’s pain.

biologically of course you should cry. it helps to relieve stress and lets us get those bottled up emotions out. its a way to express what we feel.
the only thing that says men arent supposed to cry is the society that we live in. a man crying doesnt fit in with the standards of todays macho, manly man. Men are supposed to drink beer and watch football in todays society, not display emotion.
however i think thats a load of crap and in all acutality is not very healthy at all.

I'll let you in on something, If you do cry it just means you are sensitive and understand what's going. In pschology, they called that emtional intelligent because you know what your emotions are and know what or how to express yourself which is healthy. Men are not taught this things that's why emotions are hard to express by most of us men. Don't get me wrong, just because you're sensitive does not qualify you for being gay. Even gay guys, I'm sure, do not know how to express their emotions.

OMG! The Notebook....if you didn't cry, you don't have a heart. My boyfriend and I both cried like little bi.tches when we watched that movie...both times! It's okay for men to have feelings, you shouldn't be so judgemental of yourself! Of course it's okay to cry.
