this all started after i topped up oil and is now blowing smoke out exhaust can any 1 help?

I have a 2001 Chevy Cavalier, 2.2 L, standard.
It all began when my 'Service' light came on. My little headlight light on my dash would flash and my Service light would come on. Then my 'Check gages' light came on. My temperature gage went all the way up. My Engine light came on. Throughout all of this, my 'low coolant' light was coming on sporadically.
We found that my coolant was overflowing. It seemed that my thermostat was bad. The thermostat was taken out.... we went to put another one in but it ended up missing somehow. We temporarily put something on my car to seal it so that the fluid wouldn't leak all over the place. When we did that, it was running fine and the lights were no longer coming on... but I still needed to get a thermostat.
The thermostat was put in today. We let the car run for like 10 minutes or more and it was fine. five minutes after I started driving it, my temperature gage went straight up to the top again and my 'check gages' light came on

so a year or two ago, my ps2 broke, and we couldn't figure out why, but i recently discovered that there was something wrong with the cord that connects from the playstation to the tv.

where can i buy another one of those cords? or is there any website online where i can purchase one?

I have been looking at some homes in my area that have been on the market for 4 or more months. They are older homes and need some work (updates bath,kitchen). I live in a area where the market is pretty stable. However, I am wondering should I put in an bid 10,000 below the asking offers of 129,900 and 125,900. I would think the sellers would be motivated to get off the homes. The homes are in very desireable areas of the city so I know that with a little elbow grease within a couple years I could see a good return. Do you think the method of looking at older homes that have been on the market longer is a good way to get a better deal as oppoesed to fighting for new listing or maybe there's a reason these homes are still there?

Ok, I have to do my own laundry now. Don't tell me to use Clorox and stuff, we don't EVER use that stuff, all we use is hand held stain removers, detergent, and downy softener. How do you wash WHITE CLOTHES? what detergent do you use, and do i use soap? and when i put them in the dryer, what do i put it on? Same for Coloreds, Jeans, Bedding, Sweats, White bathroom towels/washcloths, and colored bathroom towels/washcloths. and one more thing, sorry, what do you put the washer on? On my washer the settings are: Whitest whites, Heavy duty, normal/casual, delicate, hand washables. and like i asked for the dryer, the settings on my dryer are: heavy duty, Normal, bulky items, casual, delicate. Thanks!!!!!!!! remember, we only use detergent, downy, and sprayable stain removers, NOTHING ELSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was given a dell inspiron 1501 as a gift from a close friend in August and I'll be graduating from HS in a few months. I'm being told that I should have a desktop too for "safe purposes". EX: the laptop stops working. However, it seems to me that having two computers is just too much.
What I was thinking was just purchasing an external hard drive (the internal hard drive is only 60 GB and almost full) and more RAM.
Does this seem like a sensible option? Should I just buy a desktop?
I have no idea what to do!

This is my personal observation (being a part of the lesbian community myself), how come whenever you go to the gay/lesbian section in a movies rental store, you see most gay male films have them mostly nude showing off their bodies(and with the exception of the L-word, or a male directed porn, we don't see the "riquesness" of women so much). But especially on tv we're cast into these dialogue hungry, "coping with 'our problems' ", roles when there's more to some of us than that. Does a lot of it have to do with the one's acting contract 'do's and don'ts', censorship?

i think i really hate my dad...
about a month or so ago, my dad my diagnosed with serverre emphasyma, from smoking, the doctor told him that he had to quit smoking and he had to use oxygen. my dad quit smoking and he used the oxygen, for only a month. and then a few days ago he started smoking again. i got very mad/upset with him and i told him that i hated him and i hope he dies. at first i thought i didnt mean it, i tryed to apoligize to him but he told me that i wasnt really sorry, and he told me that i had to leave until i learned to be "nice and respectful" towards him. that made me even more angry at him.. for the past 2 days i have been staying at my moms boss' house, thinking about everything that happend, and i realized that i think i really do hate my dad and i meant everything i said. and i have the grudge against him, i cant stand to look at him or hear him or anything....i dont want to hate my dad, how can i let go of this grudge?

i want to cook more for my new lil family and my grandma got me a spice kit thingy for Christmas. i don't know how to use them or what to cook with it, can someone give me EASY simple recipes as to WHAT spice to put on WHAT meat /pasta i hope its easy! remember, i am new to all this.. here is the list of spices i have. We've only lived in our home for 9 months, the house is roughly 30 yrs old. We have never had a back up in our basement. However, there is a drain in the floor of our basement that from time to time omits a strong smell. I'm no plumbing expert, so any advice will be helpful. The tube/line from our central air unit drain into this drain. About 6"-9" down the drain is where the nasty dark murky water is, but it has never backed up. I guess my first question is... is this normal? If not, what should I do to eliminate the smell? Thanks!
