I didn't buy this pup from the original breeders. it was from an ad in the paper. The dog would have went into rescue or shelter. I spent $1100. to keep it from getting into the wrong hands Trying to do the best for her.

What are the blood test for? Something else? What three surgeries?
I have a frenchie that has HD and luxating patellas. I took him to a specialist and he said to wait until he was in pain because if we do the hip replacement to early he may need to have another later in life.
There is a surgery for the patellas but the success rate is not the greatest. Has she torn her ACL? That would change the need for surgery.
I would opt for preventative as long as possible. Slowing the progression can make a huge difference. I would for sure give her Glucosamine, Chondroitin, and MSM. This should help with pain also. The liquid form is best because the absorption rate is like 4 times higher than the pills . I would still discuss all this with your vet and express your concerns. You should do some research on line before your next appointment so that you can have an idea of what the condition is and the ways in which it can be treated.

Number one breed for hip dysplasia. Patella problems go right along with that. An orthopedic surgeon can evaluate her and help you decide which surgery is most important first. Surgery can prolong her life and comfort considerably, and if you can afford them go for it!
