First, I waited in the waiting room while the receptionist joked about how the doctor doing my procedure would have a long needle, which he would have to stick me with, and of course, that was a lie. Then I went into a hospital room to be prepared for the procedure. The nurse did stick me with a needle, twice, I might add, but it was just one of those intravenous drips so that anesthetics could be given to me. Then I waited for about 15-20 minutes in my hospital gown, with the opening on the "backside," and in my hospital footies, which had smiley faces on them that helped me walk with a grip on the floor. However, there was no need to walk, as there was a nice looking male nurse who came to roll me into the room where my procedure would be done. I laughed to calm my nerves as an Anesthesist stated to me how I would be sedated, immediately, after she injected me. The male nurse, of all people, was still there preparing the scope that would be inserted into my 2007-12-28 12:29:26 · 4 answers · asked by Suzy Q 2 in Medicine

My husband just called me a 'f#*$ck up' several times. We got married in August. He is a control freak. We don't have a lot of $$, I am in school but as soon as I finish I will have a lucrative career as a court reporter. The program is really hard, though and it has been extremely difficult for me here at the end. I will definitely admit that I don't practice as much as I should and he certainly reminds me of that often. He gets angry with me for buying anything. He is a realtor and hasn't closed on a deal in a couple months which has not helped our financial situation. I also work part-time as a paralegal which is the only income we are making at the moment. I bought a pair of pantyhose for $3.87 recently and still have not heard the end of it. Tonight's fight was because I bought a large bottle of wine $6.99. He thinks I drink a lot (he does not drink much) so it made him mad that I would spend on something he doesn't like. Should anyone put up with this no matter what they did bad?

These people in that part of the world have been fighting forever. Just seems unnatural to be a part of it. Yes violence is in their nature.

My husband and I have been married since June of 2006 and he's active army, we only lived with each other maybe 3 months out of our marriage and he was physically abusive during that time. Now he is currently deployed to Iraq and his physical abuse has turned into verbal abuse, he blames this on him being in a war. I dont know what to do, I do still love him and I dont know if I should stick it out and wait for him to get help.

Israel vs Palestinian Moslems -- Catholics vs Protestants historically throughout Europe - and until recently in Ireland - Sunni vs Shia in Iraq - and recently Greek Orthodox deacons vs Armenian priests in the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. It seems the Middle East and its various Gods have much to answer for? Secular societies seem the only peaceful ones!

I think the reason I am having painful intercourse is because I need lubricant.
He is large and I have to wait for 2 days to have sex again because I am sore from being so dry.
What do you use and how do you manage to tell him you need some lube?

Some people blame the legalization of abortion for the 'lack' of babies to adopt.

But isn't the feminist movement also responsible for Western society's high infertility rates? By most accounts, a woman's fertility starts falling at 30, and to more than 50% by the 40s.

Has our culture taught girls to 'achieve' in other arenas, and minimized the possibility of having a family?

Do most women want to adopt because they spent their fertile years pursuing other goals?

Should we be educating girls about diminishing fertility in schools?

Have you seen the video that he and his agent filed a complaint about an NFL official using "unnecessary roughness" on him? I mean isn't he supposed to be a professional football player tough guy? Is he really upset that a 60 year old man pulled him to the ground? If he had just got up and ran back to the huddle like he was supposed to, like a professional than this never would have happened. I think he's just upset that an old man was able to take him to the ground.
The fact that Green Bay's coach commented on this incident just makes me lose respect for the whole Packers organization, I mean come on it's not like the guy was hurt on the play, BUTCH UP NICK!
I commend the offical for getting in the thick of it and separating the players, that takes a lot of guts when you are little old man and these are the best athletes on the planet.

Not after, because obviously then there would be graves/plaques, but actually during the war? Were there records kept anywhere or anything?

I have about 10k in credit card debt, and I got a 10k line of credit consolidation loan. All my cards are 90-95% full. Should I dump everything into my line of credit or should I split it between all of them so that no one credit sourceis maxed out? Is it ok to max out one source of credit? THANKS!
BTW, I got the loan simply because I had high APR on my cards. This lets me save a bit of money. I had trouble with cards starting at school when i couldn't work....so now that i'm working i barely use them. I will not be running them so high ever again :)

As posted before, I hit my wife when she questioned me after a night out with some of my colleagues over a week ago. I am a dentist, practice owner ...educated, a professional. I am not some thug out on the street that takes pleasure in abusing his spouse. I feel horrible. I did right away. I don't have much time with my business and patients, and I wanted to resolve this on my own so our 2 children didn't get involved. I am having a very difficult time convincing my wife to trust me. She has moved back home from her sisters finally, but things are so different and she seems so distant. What can I do?
