Have you seen the video that he and his agent filed a complaint about an NFL official using "unnecessary roughness" on him? I mean isn't he supposed to be a professional football player tough guy? Is he really upset that a 60 year old man pulled him to the ground? If he had just got up and ran back to the huddle like he was supposed to, like a professional than this never would have happened. I think he's just upset that an old man was able to take him to the ground.
The fact that Green Bay's coach commented on this incident just makes me lose respect for the whole Packers organization, I mean come on it's not like the guy was hurt on the play, BUTCH UP NICK!
I commend the offical for getting in the thick of it and separating the players, that takes a lot of guts when you are little old man and these are the best athletes on the planet.

It's no wonder that he was arrested last year for shoving a woman to the ground in a bar...way to go tough guy!

If he wasn't going to start something, the ref wouldn't have had to take this action, and the ref is losing a week's pay over this situation. The ref was not only preventing a brewing fight, he was preventing an utter escalation which may have been impossible for officials to control.

What if he would have gotten injured?????? I admit he should suck it up and be a man, but a lot of professional athletes are cry babies! I think the old man should have done what he did and then called him a whipper snapper after the fact! The fact is if he would have been injured due to that it would be a real issue! I see it from both sides!

So you're telling me if someone came and TACKLED you by the next and held you in that position for at least 5 seconds after you were on the ground, you wouldn't get pissed and look to possibly sue? He is a ref. He should know where to draw the lines between breaking up a what could have been a fight and injuring a player. I actually saw the play and I think it was pretty bad. After the Ref got up, he looked like he knew he was guilty of wrong doing. I don't care who it is, you just don't grab a person by their neck.

The NFL fined the ump...not Barnett!
When the lineman got hit in the eye by a yellow flag,(a few years ago) did people complain, saying, oh the big baby got hurt by a little flag! Barnett filed a grievance simply to get the NFL to let the ump know he was out of line, not fine him.
Why was the ref pulling Barnet off in the first place.... he wasn't in a fight!

Bottomline is the officials can't touch the players like that period. If they let this ref get away with it you would see more refs doing it and then what?? Would it be ok for a coach to run out and do it. I dont care what a ref gets paid, his actions against that player was very unprofessional

Nick Barnett is only good at beaten females, he got embarrassed by an old man, so he filed a complaint.
