It feels like it means something....but maybe that's just caus my friend has never drawn anything a day in her life, and then all of a sudden I'm in a dream where I'm facing a wall of these brilliant flower paintings. Strange.

I got 2 free tickets for Christmas anywhere that Southwest Airlines flies? They fly to Hawaii to both Honolulu and Maui. Can anyone reccomend which is better for a vacation? I have never been. And I also want what is cheaper also. Any help would be great thanks!

Many of you ask where there are so many questions not worthy of philosophy, unless you make excuses for "pop" philosophy, or for poorly understood philosophy.
My answer is because Yahoo does not allow anything but questions, and serious philosophy often has more to do with throwing a theory out for discussion. We often cannot put a theory into a question, if we wish to say what we mean instead of hoping others understand the question.

That is my theory. That is my question. That is my answer.
When Yahoo allows philosophical theories to be presented, it will have become the philosophical forum many of us wish it was.

I'm planning our camping trip for next summer and need some ideas for a 7 year old while we camp at Rocky Mountain National Park. Does anyone know if they do a fireworks show? Easy trails that she could keep up on? Any recomendations on camp grounds within the park? We camp a lot in eastern nebraska all summer, but mountains will be different. Will it get really cold at night? I've been there once, but it was soo long ago I don't remember the details. Also any recent prices would be helpful. Thanks in advance! Any ideas welcome!

My fiancé and I are paying for our wedding. However, the invitation will say we request the honor of your presence along with our parents. When my sister got married, my parents got the RSVP's. However, they also paid for the wedding. Because we are paying for it, and they are just an honorable mention, should we still get them?

My whole body hurts my ears nose,throat, hot and cold all the time. I also have 3 other children to look after i am going to the doctors a bit later as my 3 yr has the same thing bless him. Just wondering if anybody has any ideas. I know i need rest but i cant any of that until the weekend when they go to their dads. Anybody has any pick me up ideas?

I have a pretty simple plan: I'm working on my MA in Sociology now, and will finish next year. I'm starting on a PhD in Language, Literacy, and Culture in the fall of 2009. My hope is, once I am done my PhD to get a full-time teaching position in Sociology.

Now in talking to the chair of my dept in my first BA, he said it might be very difficult for me to get a teaching position at a 4 year school in Sociology with a PhD that isn't directly 'Sociology'. Is that true? If so, there are only two PhD in Soc programs around, and one would literally cost me $100,000 (at Hopkins), and the other would be a pain for travelling. However, since I will finish my Master's in 352 days I have time to consider this stuff.
