I personally like Jamie Lynn, and it was probably a mistake. Just because somebody does one thing wrong in life does not make them a bad person. How many of you had made mistakes? Do you want people to call you dirty names, and say mean things about you because of that? We're all only human! I know she will be a great mother, better than Britney, and I support her 100%. She will not be like her sister, because she is more responsible. This is her ONE big mistake. I haven't heard any other bad things about her since this. She needs support right now, not gossip or trash talk. She obviously took a lot of time deciding whether to keep this baby, and that was a very mature move. So people need to stop telling her off, and give her some support!

Why do people keep putting the blame on the mother?? I know she probably is a bad mom, but I don't think she told her daughter to go and have sex. That was all her decision. It is impossible to say that Jamie did not know that what she was doing was wrong, even if her mother never said that it was wrong, she knew! They need to cancel the show because if Nickelodeon continued the show they would have to butter up the situation, and make it seem like pregnancy is easy. They can't show her puking her guts out on Nickelodeon. Children believing that pregnancy is easy would send the wrong message entirely. Think of the age group that watched her show. It is not just teens. I know four girls under the age of nine and as little as 5 who are obsessed with Zoey 101. How would Nickelodeon be able to explain to a five to nine year old How Jamie became pregnant, or what is going on with her at that time in her life. I don't want a five year old asking me how Jamie got pregnant because I am not ready to answer that kind of question. Jamie should not be on T.V at all during this time. Not even ona documentary or something because anything that Jamie Appears on, all of her fans will rush to watch "A documentary on Teen Pregnancy" is not a good thing for a five-nine year old to watch, and if they are a fan, they will watch. However it is good that she is one of the few teens who are actually suitable to raise a child financially. and good for her to keep it, but still, I don't give her kudos. All I am saying is that she made the right choice in keeping it. It is really a shame, her career is over, but it really wasn't that big to begin with. I hope she knows what she is getting into!

i found this article for u
s 16-year-old sister Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant.
Nickelodeon, which carries her TV show Zoey 101, said in a statement: "We respect Jamie Lynn's decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn's well being."
Spears and her mother confirmed the pregnancy to OK! magazine, saying she was 12 weeks along and the father is Jamie Lynn's longtime boyfriend Casey Aldridge. Aldridge's mother confirmed it to TMZ.com.
"It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected," Jamie Lynn told OK!, according to the Associated Press. "I was in complete and total shock and so was he."
Spears told the magazine that after confirming the pregnancy with a home test and a subsequent doctor's visit, she told only one friend – then waited two weeks before telling anybody else, including her parents.
"I needed to work out what I would do for myself before I let anyone's opinion affect my decision," she told the magazine. "Then I told my parents and my friends. I was scared, but I had to do what was right for me."

Breaking the News to Her Parents
She told her parents just before Thanksgiving.
"I didn't believe it because Jamie Lynn's always been so conscientious," her mother, Lynne Spears, told OK!. "She's never late for her curfew. I was in shock. I mean, this is my 16-year-old baby."
Aldridge's mother, Joyce Aldridge, told TMZ she was "aware of the recent interview regarding her and being pregnant" and that "we are in agreement with everything that was said by Jamie Lynn."
"Everything is fine," Joyce Aldridge added.
Spears, a high school junior who is 10 years younger than Britney, had until now escaped much of the attention about her personal life that has surrounded her sister.
Jamie Lynn stars as a schoolgirl at the fictitious Pacific Coast Academy in Zoey 101, finishing its third season next month as one of Nickelodeon's highest-rated shows.

Funny how everyone puts the blame on a 16 yr old. Why doesn't the blame fall where it should on her mother. where was she when a child was playing house with a man. As for a role model, she is not the 1st 16 yr old to get pregnant and she won't be the last. People should look at there own family's before they pass judgment on others.

hmm.... I think that its too bad for her because she had a good name to keep up to then one slip and BAM! the new britney spears.... I don`t get why they would wanna end zoey101 just for that... Is it because she will start showing which is still in a few months or that they don`t want someone like that to represent the family chanel (or disney or whatever)? They should keep it going for as long possible and maybe add the pregnency thing to it or get rid of zoey until she is done her maternity leave? Alls I know is that I really liked the show and now its a ruined for one little accident........

That whole family seems to be a mess. I guess they should stop the show, at least while she's pregnant and showing. It would be a bad example for the little girls who idolize her.

It's a sad day in Hollywood when Jamie Lynn makes her sister look like the more responsible one (at least she waited until she was married to have children.)
Because so many tweens look up to these characters, I think the show should be canceled. Not doing so sends the wrong message to a very impressionable group of kids.

Ok Now I don't think teen pregnancy is a good thing but I give her kudos for having the baby it would be so easy for her to have a abortion and no one would ever know so I am proud of her for having the baby. I think they should cancel the show but she should do a documentary about teen pregnancy she should tell her story I wish everyone would stop giving her crap because mistakes do happen. Oh it does only take one time, and who are all of you to judge her.

She isn't doing anything different than most teenagers except for not using birth control. So what. Millions of 16 year olds have babies. At least she will be able to financially support the baby when she raises it and not have to be on WIC or Medicaid. Come on people. Teenage pregnancy has been going on for years and years. Quit being so naive.
If I were her and her sister, I would go home and tell the whole world to get lost. It's none of our business what happens in their life or what they do.
