I am a Doctor of Medicine and was in military service. I was
wounded, and came back to London to restore my health. My pension was so small, that I could not afford to rent anything on my own, so I went into halves with another man.
He is not difficult to live with, quiet in his ways, but he is strange. He does not study medicine, yet he spends a lot of time in dissecting rooms. He plays violin. He is constantly experimenting with chemicals, and inventing new tests.
Strange people visit them at any time of the day: young girls, ruddy- cheeked men, old women and old men.
I can't understand what is his work, or how he makes his living. It would have been easy just to ask, but he is somewhat intimidating, and I can't do it. What can his occupation be?

please dont tell me that im a "bad person", or a "mean person", or a "disrespectful teenager" because i already know that i am all of thoes things.
but i said something horrible to my dad, i told him that i hated him and that i hope he dies and that i hope he goes straight to he*l.
i regret saying that to him but he just made me so mad/upset. about 2 months ago he was diagnosed with really bad emphysema. he had to stop smoking and he is supposed to use oxygen. but today he put the oxygen tanks away and started smoking again! i was really mad that he started again, because he's killing himself! i dont want him to die and i was so proud of him for stoping smoking (he was still useing nicotin lozenges though) and then he just started up smoking again, so i got really mad and told him that i hope he dies and that i hate him and that i hope he goes to he*l.
im still upset with him for smoking, but i dont really mean what i said.now my dad wont talk to me, how can i take back what i said

I LIVED WITH SOMEONE WHERE WE WAS SHARING THE APARTMENT BUT HE WAS THER LEASE HOLDER I WAS JUST LIVING WITH HIM HE MOVED OUT ABONDONED THE LEASE THE LANDLORD SAID I PAID NOV. I have a few questions about planning my wedding.

First, I'm going to have a very long engagement--probably 3 years. (I want to wait until I get started with med school.) When should I start the actual planning? About a year before the wedding or what?

Second, what happens first: picking attendants or making a guest list? I know that traditionally the number of guests determines how many bridesmaids/groomsmen there are...

Third, both my fiance and I have small immediate families. I only have one sibling, a brother. Is there any kind of etiquette that expects my fiance to ask my brother to be a groomsman? Should I just give my brother something else to do, or should I ask my fiance to make him a groomsman?

I know that Its a little late in the game, However I stopped going to college out of pure laziness, and had a pretty good job.... well all good things come to an end... However I am considering going back to school with the hopes of ending up in med school, and ultimately a psychiatrist... of which my mentor is.... wondering if it would be even worth it at this age... 33... any thoughts?
