Okay so I reallly want to go to Oxy and I was just wondering what yall thought about my chances of getting in. I am from Atlanta, GA, I have a GPA of 89, my ACT score is 27 (yuck), I have taken five AP classes, and I play three sports.

so i finally worked up the nerve and told this guy i liked him. we didnt really know each other before and we dont talk too much now but we are friendly with each other. so the other day i asked him if he liked me back. he said that he liked me as a "person" but that maybe in the "near" future he could like me? what the hell does that mean? i dont like you now but maybe in the near future? i'm just very confussed on what he meant.

...a female Xiphophorus helleri is agressive?

The story goes like this:
My Xiphophorus helleri always defends her territory. She attacks my larger male Carassius auratus(maybe 2 inches?) and my male Brachydanio reiro(1.2 inches). Everytime the two come close to her territory, she chases them. This happens especially during feeding time. She's not the kind of fish that likes to get all the food. She still shares.

She is a FEMALE XIPHOPHORUS HELLERI.
She is about 1 inch. Her territory is my mini-jungle. A lot of plants indeed in that area.

So, do these cases happen? I read the they should be less agressive. Please explain thoroughly why they do this attitude.

My husband has an unusual sexual fantasy. He likes to imagine that I'm a giantess, as he calls it. Like the 50 foot woman. Only lots bigger. He likes to call me the 50 mile woman. Or 500 mile woman. And I'm always wearing 4 or 5 inch heeled sandals with my toes painted. This never happens in real life.

He'd like me to pretend, or role-play, I'm a giantess going on a rampage. Destroying cities, armies, etc. Pretending to crush him like a bug. While I'm telling him what I'm doing, he's 'satisfying' himself.

I don't share this fantasy, and in fact, I find it a bit silly. I'm not that violent, or mean. But he really seems to find in enjoyable. It seems harmless, but it isn't my thing. He's offerered to reciprocate, but I my fantasies don't involve him. I think my biggest problem, is I honestly have no idea what to say!

Am I being selfish? Or should I grit my teeth and try?

okay.
here it is...

so my dads in the hospital cause he had a stroke. hes getting better and hes in rehab now. i have a 10 year oldyounger brother , im 13. my moms obviously stressed out about everything. and we are going down heavily mentally, physically, and financially. i try to please my mom every way that i can. but everything that comes out of my mouth seems to blow her off. literally. she throws things and rants about how im such a bad sister, and a bad person. like if i say 'frigen' to my brother she throws a tantrum. i know its hard on her so im trying to be understanding. i barely told any of my friends cause they dont really have the experience. i just thought to put it up on here , where i dont even know you ppl would help lift me up. right now im bawling my eyes out cause my mom gave me an 'emotional' lecture on EVERYTHING. when i went into my room and locked the door, she said dont lock your door, i said why, and she said so i can come (extended)

My 15 mnth old daughter had the MMR shot last tuesday...(8 days ago) her pcp said it might take a week for the usual fever/rash to show up...but since the day after (wednesday) she's had very very loose stools.
She tends to have loose stools when something in her body changes anyway (lack of sleep, new food, a cold, ect), and I know she has a sensative stomach..but it seems excessive now...
No fevers, but she doesn't want to eat much, and she's sleeping horribly (not wanting to nap)
I asked my sister-in-law about her daughter's reaction, and she said Kelsie had the loose stools for a month after the shot! Has this happened to anyone else? Is this normal? I really don't want to call the doctor because when I do call I feel dumb, since they tell me "as long as she's peeing, drinking and acting normal she's fine"
it's just loose, not watery-diarrhea..sorta like when she was a newborn...any ideas?

I'm 23 weeks pregnant with a baby boy. The father is now SET on naming the baby after him (as in, Adam Jr.). I'm not 100% sold on the idea (what if the father isn't around 16 years from now? I'll be sick of it haha), but I also can't find any other names that I like! I thought I was ok with naming him the "junior," but now, I'm just not so sure. Any advice? Is it good to name a baby boy after his dad? Thanks!

I bought a 1 gig RAM stick today, and supposedly it was compatible with my motherboard. Took out my 2 256mb RAM sticks. Popped in the 1 gig one, nothing happened. Try a different slot, nothing happened. Popped in all 3 at same time, nothing happened. Then I'm like "*** maybe this 1 gig isn't compatible"

Popped in my ORIGINAL 2 256mb RAM sticks and my computer won't start (everything starts like the fans and stuff, but the beep sound doesn't come that leads you to windows). I smell a burning plastic smell coming from my RAM sticks.

Is my motherboard f**ked?

my daughter is breast fed uptill now.She has not taken bottle at all.She wasnt interested in any kind of food but now ,she isnt taking milk as well.I use to force her every time to feed.She doesnt pick anything from the table too.im really very worried.Otherwise she is happy and playful child.

I'm 13 right now; I know, I'm tad bit young to be asking a question about college, but I'm curious. So, I'm in 8th grade and in all gifted classes along with 2 High School Honors classes (Algebra 1 and Spanish 1). I carry a 4.33 GPA and have dreams of going to a good college for journalism to have a career in the field of journalism/broadcast journalism. I also play on an eighteen and under Showcase Travel Softball Team in South Florida. I've written some poetry that's been published in the local newspaper. I'm also applying to an "artsy" high school which requires auditions. I'm auditioning for the Communications program. The point is that I want to know what I should do or continue doing in order to get into a college like Columbia or Northwestern. Please give LOTS of details.

A few years ago I would say that I had a major obsession with everything "Buffy" I never missed an episode new and reruns, spent hours taping them, before buying them. Instead of using money I was given to go to school I waked to school stoping along the way to purchase Buffy comic books. I purchased every book that was written about Buffy, and my notebooks were submerged in Buffy stickers. I just could not live without Buffy. To make a long story short. Today my home has absolutly no sign of Buffy. I gave away all of the books, and threw out everything else. My question is do you think it is possible to outgrow and addiction if so can a person outgrow smoking, or pornography.

I work in house keeping at a nursing home, and i had just worked last night and for the first time i was passing out cloths (putting residents cloths in their closets) and in the process this elder man walks up to me...
At my job ive really been having problems, i was hired without orientation, so i wasnt informed on safty precaution issues, wasnt getting paid enough etc...etc...
Well anyway, this elder man walks up to me and says..." dont let them use you as an instrument, you work really hard" and then he said "i love you" lol... Now keep in mind that i have never in my life seen this guy before, and yes i know that there are some patients/residents that my not be in their right mind, but do you think that it was god that could have been speaking through him trying to tell me somthing??? because i have been lacking on praying/reading the bible, and since ive been working there they had me working every sat. and sun. (i usually go to church on saturdays) i havnt been to church
