A few years ago I would say that I had a major obsession with everything "Buffy" I never missed an episode new and reruns, spent hours taping them, before buying them. Instead of using money I was given to go to school I waked to school stoping along the way to purchase Buffy comic books. I purchased every book that was written about Buffy, and my notebooks were submerged in Buffy stickers. I just could not live without Buffy. To make a long story short. Today my home has absolutly no sign of Buffy. I gave away all of the books, and threw out everything else. My question is do you think it is possible to outgrow and addiction if so can a person outgrow smoking, or pornography.

Addictions or compulsive behaviors have to do with attempts to satisfy emotional needs. They are a solution. They exist in the context of a person's mental state and life situation. A combination of factors allow the addiction/compulsion to work and persist. When those conditions change significantly the person can loose the need to engage in the specific behavior or that behavior is no longer the best way to get the need satisfied, and therefore doesn't do it anymore.
This is probably what happened to you. Something changed in your life and the need for Buffy material went away. This is not to say it couldn't come back. It's just that right now, you don't need it. Try to think about things that changed in your life and this may point you in the direction of what need the Buffy material was satisfying.
