"get rid" yikes that is harsh.....

There is no other way to get rid of an unwanted pregnancy. I am very much FOR abortion if a person is not ready to be a parent and change their Whole life because of one mistake. Also look at it this way, an abortion is much cheaper than a child would cost and the pain from the procedure is nothing like giving birth. I live in San Antonio and many children have been beaten to death in the last year because the parents were not mature enough to have a child. These people all had the option to give there baby up for adoption at birth, but didn't. So now there are 12 dead toddlers here that died violent, painful deaths. If you are not ready for a child then go to planned parenthood and get an abortion. Just learn from your mistakes and use backup methods.

Wow. You can't blame the harsh answers your read thus far. I'm not going to get into that with you though, as a mother of two, hearing someone talk that way about a beautiful helpless baby absolutely hurts me inside. I'm looking at my 15 day old baby sitting in her big sisters arms and it seriously seriously hurts me to hear a woman talk like that.
HOWEVER, your options are limited. Despite what you MAY think, there is no other immediate option besides abortion. Any at home method can seriously injure you. Don't get caught up in the hype either honey, falling down the stairs of getting hit in the stomach will NOT "get rid of the unexpected pregnancy" it will rupture your spleen, your liver, or break your neck" Your options are depleting as time goes on with your state laws and as your pregnancy advances. Your best bet and I don't know your situation, it to carry the baby to term and accept the consequences. Some states offer "drop offs" at the hospitals for new mothers that just gave birth and don't want the baby. Some couples will pay for all of your care, put you up in an apartment or their own home, AND pay you to continue with the baby because they are not blessed enough to have one of their own. Some orginizations will assist you in carrying the child, depending on your state they will assist you with health care, housing, food, etc.
Listen, no man, no mom or dad, no anything is worth "getting rid of an unexpected pregnancy" babies are beautiful and being pregnant is an amazing and wonderful feeling.
Just think about it before you do anything stupid that you might regret. Good luck girl!

What Shawn failed to mention in her "one-sided" set of statistics, is that abortion is legal today!

That being said though you can legally drop off your baby at a hospital or even a fire department and ask that the child be taken care of by the local social services department. It is legal and it is NOT abandonment.

Call any local lawyer in your area or your local social services department to ask for the facts. It is legal and preferred way of giving your baby a chance to live and grow up.

Having made one immature error though I would also be going to get some form of proper birth control.
If your going to act like an adult and have sex then you also need to be responsible and not have children you don't plan on taking repsonsibility for.

I'm not down towning you, just offering some helpful advice that many teenage females need these days.

And for the guys or teenage boys, please wear a condom for god's sake. It's just as much your responsibility as it is her's if she gets pregnant. Be a man and not a boy, use your brain.

You can always put the baby up for adoption. I don't know your situation, but if you are desperate and can't, (for what ever reason), deal with the adoption proceedings, then check into baby drop sites. In most places you can take a newborn to a hospital, police station, fire dept. and just hand them your baby and walk away, no questions asked. This is meant to stop people from child abandonment. Like I said, I don't know your circumstances and I am trying to be nonjudgmental. I would highly recommend you contact a pregnancy crisis line and talk things over with them. Things may look very bleak for you right now, but they can and will get better.

If you are already pregnant there is no proven way, that I am aware of, to get rid of it except abortion. I suppose, if you are looking for options, that a medicated abortion (the abortion pill) is much like a heavy period if taken early enough.

Give Planned Parenthood a call if you are looking for options and good information; 1-800-230-PLAN

there is no other option, once you are pregnant you either keep the baby or you abort it plain and simple! you can always adopt it out if you do not want the child! Illegal abortions usually end in the death of the mother!
ABORTION WAS criminalized throughout the U.S. between the late 1800s and 1973. But during that time, millions of women sought and obtained abortions anyway.
Of these, tens upon tens of thousands died from illegal abortions or complications arising from them. One 1932 study estimated that illegal abortions or complications from them were the cause of death for 15,000 women each year. Current, more conservative, estimates of the death toll still stand at between 5,000 and 10,000 deaths per year.

Well if you wait 9 months then it will your pregnancy will end.
If you do anything on your own to try and get rid of it you could hurt yourself and be hospitalized or even possibly die. Which Im not going to give examples of how women have killed themselves trying to do so because from your judgement skills I would guess you might just try them anyway

If you cant deal with the consequences of sex than shut your legs. You could be on birth control, he could use a condom, you could use a diaphram, you could have took the morning after pill, you could have refrained from having sex. There is thousands of ways to prevent pregnancy, since you choose not to use them correctly now you just deal with it like an adult should. There is also places that give out free birth control and free condoms like planned parethood so really you have no excuse.

Adoption or a smarter way would be to not get pregnant in the first place. In my opinion there really isn't such thing as an unexpected pregnancy. If you are having sex, it should be expected even if you are using birth control.
