I just installed a new motherboard with CPU today and everything seemed to be working fine until I tried to connect my hard drive and DVD drive to the motherboard with IDE cables.
It keeps recognizing the DVD drive as the primary and then either doesnt recognize the hard drive at all or places it as a slave drive.
I've switched the IDE cables around, I put the SLAVE IDE with the DVD and vice versa with the Hard drive and even tried a different hard drive but it always comes out the same.

Then when I put in the XP installation cd it just says "Boot CD/DVD: " and won't let me type anything

How can I fix this problem?

if someone has AIM that would be a great help to walk me through it btw

One Christmas Day, after a large dinner, seven women folk decided to take a walk as the sun was setting over the very nice neighborhood in the countryside of the state.

Four of them walked quickly leaving three lagging far behind. The three that were lagging, Maggie, Jill and Brinny were talking intensely about social concerns when Jill noted a huge someone in a Gingerbread man costume standing at the end of a driveway of one of her neighbors who did not seem to be home.

Standing next to a flamingo mailbox, the Gingerbread man seemed to be just waiting there. The big cookie noticed the three women and began walking towards them on the opposite side of the street.

Brinny and Jill became fearful while Maggie remained unaware of the cookie’s presence, and she kept talking about her job. When she finally noticed the big cookie she said hi.

The cookie waved, but said nothing as it walked on by. Maggie turned to look at the cookie and saw it turning to look at them. She turned back, then turned again and saw it has also turned. A third time she turned and saw it too turned to look at them and then the gingerbread man ran to their side of the street, into someone else’s yard and behind that house.

Brinny was the first to notice the cookie running from behind one house to another. “That cookie looks like it is playing with itself,” she stated.

“I think it has a butcher’s knife.” Jill answered.

Maggie’s eye brows furrowed with doubt stating, “How can you confuse having his hand in his pants with a butcher’s knife?”

All three laughed, then suddenly the cookie ran at them jumping onto the road and running very fast in front of them and out of sight.

Dogs barked up ahead and the woman walking the dogs stated her dogs became very apprehensive when he approached.

Jill ran ahead to see where the cookie was going while she called the police on her cell phone.

Brinny ran to catch up to her, leaving Maggie alone on the road while she was calling her son to bring the car and come get them.

Soon Brinny and Jill came walking back, having lost the cookie and unaware the cookie was walking behind them. As they neared Maggie, she indicated it was behind them.

A silver car stopped by the cookie and the cookie leaned into the window, then the car turned onto the road where the house with the flamingo mailbox was.
The police drove by, passing that road where the gingerbread man was now talking again to the man in the silver car.

Maggie’s son arrived and the women jumped into the car and drove towards the police to tell them what they saw.

The officer stated this call will certainly top most other memorable calls. He did continue on to look for the cookie as another police car arrived in the area.

Do you think the Gingerbread man was acting strange and possibly up to something bad?
If so what do you think was happening or going to happen?

my friend and i and this guy i like (and she knows i like him) all went to Scarowinds (north carolina theme park) with my brother and my mom. (my brother and the guy are best friends)
well...as we were walking from place to place she constantly kept trying to get next to him saying stuff like "o my gosh im sooo scared" and it was totally fake. and the whole time we were there i had to walk with her elbow in my stomach as she was blocking me from standing next to him and thinking i didnt notice. and she stole his drink and drank out of it, even when she had her own, and she kept trying to get me away from him like calling me to stand on the other side of her, two people away from him. and he was annoyed. (by her) and she kept CLUTCHING on to his arm and cutting off his circulation trying to make herself the center of attention in any way possible. then he finally got away from her and went off with my brother, and she was like "please can we follow him?" and i was like "my mom said no"

the phone when i called her today. I met her in person before hiring her and she has responded to an email (about 3 weeks ago) after I paid her. she told me to contact her again to make my first appointment for after the first of the year, and I did today, thats when she didnt answer. With technology advancing the way it is, there will be one day when an unborn child of any age will be able to live outside the womb or in an artificial womb (they are working on this in Cornell btw) Therefore the "its my body" or "until the age of viability" reasons will not be able to justify abortion like they do nowadays. Ok. This is very complicated. The person I am trying to forgive is my "Father". I met my dad when I was 11 yrs. old. Previous to that all I knew about him was his name and that he was a liar. Everything was going well until I turned 15 he made a promise that he would come visit me and he did not keep the promise so I got mad and I stopped talking to him. Months went by before I forgave him. I told him that I didnt like when ppl lied to me. So he agreed to not make promises he wasnt going to keep. I few months went by and I was going to graduate from School and there were many things to pay such as prom, and various senior activities and my mom could not pay the expenses herself so we all made an agreement and he said that he would pay for Half of the expenses. He got a copy and my mom got a copy of the expenses. However my graduation day came and went and I did not recieve any money from him. He would not visit or even call to see how we were doing. until six months after my graduation

Most whites that "claim" to be proud are just really racist.

They can't just be proud of who they are, because they dislike themselves, so it makes them feel better to talk about other races.
