If people are continually subdued if they speak against the Government where is the democracy....
I think its a nice little word that is abused and some countries think they support it when in reality its people dont even live it!
How do you define Democracy??

ok, in late january i'm going up north to go skiing/ snowboarding with my family and another family. i'm just learning to snowboard (i did it like 3 years ago and broke my wrists, and i've taken like 5 lessons since then) and i'm really bad at it, i've only been on the chairlift 2x and it didn't go very well. i can pretty much link turns, but that's about it. so i guess i want to know: how long will it take to be good enough to go down some easy chairlift hills, will i be able to do it in january? i'm on xmas break right now and i'm planning to board as much as i can. my friend that's going in Jan. is pretty good and i'll be hanging around with her like the whole time, she'll go down the easier hills, but she won't want to wait for me if i'm falling the whole time.

For a science project, I am building a battery operated electric vehicle. Its not a big vehicle just about 3 feet long and about a foot wide. I have got most things covered except one. I need a way to buy/build a switch in the circuitry that cuts off the battery power after a certain time. The aim is to make the car travel a certain distance/time and then stop. What is the best and easy way to build a switch that will operate under these conditions? I have a motor powered by a battery pack and I need this switch in the circuitry so that it can shut power off after a programmed time.

Could the source of problem that people are rude to each other in R&S is because they think they REALIZED instead of they DECIDED for themselves?

Surely, I believe that Gods in the bibles are imaginary because of the contradictions and the idea of almighty and benevolent being is impossible but there are just so many unexplainable things in life and there could be other powers which is more complicated than 'God'...We have to keep our minds open, no? =]

I work for this agency and they only pay be $7/hour to take care of seniors at home....mostly companionship types of things. Anyway, I found out that they agency actually charges these people $16/hour! I want to branch out and do this on my own....any ideas on how to get a client? I just really need one regular client....then I could make the hours convieniant for myself AND get paid a decent living??? Plus I wouldn't ask them for that much an hour....I just need something for the next couple of years to get myself through nursing school. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated...Happy Holidays

As a parent I feel like it is my responsibility to protect and educate my child. In today's world that is becoming more and more dificult. After an unpleasant experience today it dawned on me that I will have to face the fact that I will have to tell my little girls that someone doesn't like them because of things they cannot change, like their race or their sex. I always felt like what I can't protect them from I can educate them so the world won't be so scarry, but for once I don't know how to begin to try to explain...why? My wife has been invited to Christmas eve at her sisters house 30 miles away. She comes from a big family and people are coming from all directions to the strong sisters house. She is the leader of the family and everyone seems to love her and what ever she says pretty much goes.

This year she has decided that I should stay at home and my wife should come alone. She does not like me and has told the rest of the family that they should hate me too.

Should my wife attend her Holiday Celebration without me, or refuse to attend? (If she pushed the issue maybe I would be allowed to go along but of course it would be painful) Your thoughts?

I am 16 and I have one more year to go to college. I am going to a community college first, but then I want to transfer to Georgia State University and then most likely to law school. I have heard that a philosophy major is the best preparation to law school. I really love philosphy, but I`m worried that when I get older this major will not get me anywhere significant in my career paths. What if I dont end up going to law school? What good will this major do me then?

I'm going to my boyfriend's family's house on Christmas Day and his SIL just had a baby. They'll more than likely try to get me to hold her. I don't really like babies, they make me uncomfortable. My boyfried has not one, not two... no even three but FOUR ex girlfriends that still consider him a friend/'best' friend.

why cant he see how strange this is too keep these women all hanging around?

barely a day goes by when our day isnt interrupted by a text/phone call or email from at least one of them.

i cant stand it. i dont think its right and i have tried talking to him about it. he says he understands but has never explained why he needs to keep all these women.

normally when you break up thats that. if you break up then there is no more love... if there is no more love there shouldnt be anymore friendship... especially the way some of them (all come to think of it have done him wrongs) treat him!!

i cant stand it and i dont know how to deal with the jelousy. i didnt think i was a jelous person. honest.

any advice at all is greatly appreciated. thanks in advance
