this idea sprung from talk of Europeon Expansion..
would it be better just to start a whole new league in Europe called the ENHL who can also compete for the Stanley cup?
it seems smart to me, gives Europeon players an open doorway between America and their own countrys.
they could allow trade between the two leagues, so for example, if the Italian Stallions wanted to trade the Toronto Maple Leafs, then they could.
so basically it's a new league that keeps an open doorway between the country's but keeps it so the NHL keeps only 30 teams.
Maybe they could treat the NHL and this invisible ENHL like conferences, so all the teams in the NHL face each other properly, which eliminates the Schedule complaints.
and then just have the odd Euro game.
i unno, this seems like a smart investment to me..
i'm suree i will have 20000 people disagree with me, but does anyone else think this would be a good idea?
what suggestions do you have?
