I see a lot of questions here asking real questions and not those political baiting questions that just pisses people off and the answers for the real questions though correct get a thumbs down for some reason. I asked a question earlier and most of the answers though correct were given thumbs downs.

I learnt about this in history and googling hasn't got my anywhere cos I can't remember the details! I think it was that a group of pioneers were travelling across/over a mountain range in North America which at that time hadn't really been explored (1880s?), they got stuck (maybe bad weather?) and had to resort to cannibalism? Does anyone know any details/a wikipedia page about this???

With all the attention on safety concerns today. Why not address the problem with the glareing / Blinding sun issue ??
Build some tall, wide billboards outside the track or something.
Ever have that problem going or leaving work ?? That's kind'a
hairy going 30-40 mph !!! I could only imagine that,running 180-190 !!!

I am pretty much a noob and want to get into high-end gaming. i got Unreal-Tournament III for a present and it runs slow as crap on my computer. i thought getting geforce 8600gt would be a good idea since its one of the best graphic cards out there. the only problem is that i dont know if i can just install it on my computer and expect it to work or if i need to upgrade other hardware on my computer. Right now it says im running windows vista home basic, AMD anthlon 64 X2 Dual core processor 3600+, 896 MB ram and nvidia geforce 6150E. please help

Is there a way to calculate pi or any irrational number digit by digit using an iterative algorithm. At each iteration, you get a new digit. Instead of the convergent method.

This would be much more convenient with computers.
