owners are away and feed and water and change the litter.
How much should I charge? Also is it necessary to be bonded/insured for this business?

Yes, it is necessary to be bonded and insured. You can charge whatever the going rate would be in your area. We pay our "person" $10/day for that. She makes 1-2 visits daily.

It is not so much the clients trusting YOU, being bonded and insured protects YOU also. A friend does an in house service when people are not home. Someone CLAIMED that she took $6,000 in cash from a drawer!!!!!!!! Being bonded and insured saved her a HUGE headache!!!!!!!!!!

My feeling is that unless someone knows you personally - or you're recommended by a friend of a friend - I wouldn't want to hire you unless you were bonded/insured.

After all, I'd be letting a complete stranger in my house! That would make me nervous.

I'm not sure about the legalities for this, but that's my opinion.

I do tis for people whose cats get stressed out in a clinic setting. I charge $20/day and am not insured. These are people who already trust me. Just pay close attention when you visit of absent litterbox activity, weight loss, anorexia.... I have had a person who signed a medical consent if I noticed anything abnormal. get plenty of contact numbers and suggest that these people can call you and check on their babies!!

No, it is not necessary to be certified to be a petsitter. As long as your clients trust you, then it's ok. Depending on how much you're over there, you should charge more. I would start at $10 per hour...it's a pretty good amount, and a decent price!

well u dont nessacarly have to be licesned for this type of job i think u do have to give them papers like if the cat gets hurt in any way u r not responible for these type of actions and liek print like 100 of them or u can post signs up on street corners but i would liek to sign papers atleast before i hand my cat over to a total stranger
