they always say, "there's no such thing as a diet". don't they realize that no matter how or what you eat, that's called your diet? like i could eat cheetos all day and that's called my diet, i could eat carrots all day,that would be called my diet too!!! get with it peoples!

He has changed his mind and decided he could/would not want to kill people, in particular civilians.

He's been told he can't leave, and must do as he is instructed.

Is that right? You can't leave and you have to go overseas and kill kids if your told to?

So I recently got my braces and I heard you can get white spots after removal. Because I brush after every meal well except for school. When I floss I just floss my gums are you suppose to floss the braces? So anyone know how to prevent them?

I'm not eligable for traffic school, lets just get that out first. I got a speeding ticket at 10pm going 63 in a 40. I dont feel like i was driving that fast, however i just got a new SUV about 3-4 weeks prior and it never feels like your traveling that fast; previously i drove a sedan. on top of that it accerates effortlessly. I dont usually drive in this area, although it is by my house so i guess it doesnt matter. In any case, i guess thats still speeding. The officer pulled me over and honestly..i didnt know why. He ticketed me but he marked "civil court" on it. He also failed to mark that he used a radar to clock my speed. Now im not one to try to get out of things and im sure to a degree i was speeding if he says so but, does this give me any upper hand, or leway?? Anyways i guess my main question is.... what it going to happen tommorrow when i walk in court am i being tried as a civil ticket at criminal speeds??? Maybe someone can clarify?

What does this mean, practically-speaking? I really like this guy and he knows it, yet nothing's happening. Someone advised that I be more of a challenge... does this mean be more aloof? Or... just not communicate with him for a while? (We email frequently and seem to have good chemistry, and he seems happy to see me in person, but it's not moving beyond the "friend" thing-- in 3 months, and I'm about to give up.)

Regarding our wedding, my fiance stated that she must invite old friends because they invited her to their wedding. I see her point but at the same time, I really dislike them for a very good reason. It is true that they invited her to thier functions and were pals at one time, but also they were a horrible influence on her. They caused serious problems for her a few years ago and we, as a couple, are just getting through them now. It was very hard on both of us, to get through it, and everytime something reminds me of it I want to smash my head into a wall. Even my fiance's family hates those girls because thier role in what happened.
Also, they werent real friends, when my fiance was unable to keep in touch, they didnt even bother to check up on her; When we ran into them a few months ago they were so cold to her.
I understand my fiance feels obligated to invite them, but how do I deal with the fact that these vultures are going to be at the most special day of our lives?

I've been feeling fine all day, and i still am. Just a few mins ago i when to the bathroom. It felt fine, came out normal. When i stood up, i noticed that the water was red. I'm kind of puzzled. Instinctively I would say the smaller ship would go faster, but the larger ship is more advanced and has twice as many sails so my doubt increases.

What kind of wind would the smaller ship need to outrun the larger? Would the smaller ship have the advantage in no wind, or lots of wind?

i do a great job at work my boss doesn't seem to notice and i do a lot of work...we have the papers to prove it and the cameras! i never lied cheated or stole...i always did what he asked without blinking an eye and he treats me like i do nothing and he keeps saying "u think ur perfect" and i never even act like it i just happen to do my job and do it well i thought thats what bosses wanted!!!! for example i work when im not supposed to more than the norm i wanted off on my bday(my scheduled day off to begin with) and for months i asked if i can take off (yes i asked off on my day off) and it came to the day and i had plans and hes like u have to work and was telling me these things like to make me feel bad..why couldn't he say for once shes always working on her day off why not give her a break but instead he gave me the worst bday!!!! and then i was stuck working the next day alone and i was told i was workin alone on purpose bc i never came in my bday! they are crazy!

The Westbrook Mall in Omaha, Neb. was a "gun-free zone," at least until mass murderer Robert Hawkins carried a gun into the place and started killing people so he could "go out in style!"

So how did the fact that law abiding citizens were not allowed to carry guns in the mall help the victims of this crime?

I have been doing a bunch of step-by-step lost wax casting and writing descriptions of it. I find I am using the same words for results at different steps, which becomes awkward if I want to refer back to a previous step. There are probably nice standard names but I don't know them because of being self taught from a variety of sources.
Like this
1. Make a clay model that represents 1/3 of the final object. Positive?
2. Coat this with latex molding material to make a negative copy. Negative? Soft Negative?
3. Back the latex with plaster to support it. Support Negative?
4. Pour wax into the supported mold. Wax Positive?
5. Repeat to make 2 more copies.
6. Use heat to weld the 3 pieces into a wax - what? Positive, Wax Original?
7. Add venting and sprues for casting. Call it?
8. Encase the wax positive with investment. Mold!
This gets a more complicated when the surrounding for the wax is in sections as in making a large statue.
9. Heat to melt the wax out

There are differences between men and women. In fact, there are differences in capabilities between the average man and the average woman. Men have more muscle mass, for instance.

Even though men are stronger than women, we cannot fool ourselves into thinking that this is universally true. For instance, to suggest that Tina the 22 year old black belt in judo is weaker than a 17 year old, 110 pound boy would be complete idiocy.

One of my good friends claims that God created man and woman different, and thus it violates God's wishes for us to reverse the roles of man and woman in society. As I understand it, this is a common apologetic Christian belief.

The general idea here is that presenting men as leaders and women as submissive is not sexist; these are roles condusive to the nature of both genders. However, just as a judo chick would pwn me, so too are there counterexamples to these stereotypes.

My mother is unable to work full time and she's having financial problems. I want to help her out but the only way I can do that is if my brother and I both claim her as a dependent. If we combine the extra money we receive on our pay checks it should be able to help her out. However I need to know if that is even legal. Or can only one person claim her as a dependent?
