they always say, "there's no such thing as a diet". don't they realize that no matter how or what you eat, that's called your diet? like i could eat cheetos all day and that's called my diet, i could eat carrots all day,that would be called my diet too!!! get with it peoples!

Because the general public is trained by the media to think that to lose weight, you stop eating, that carbohydrates are the devil, and that by bulking up on fitness "machines" and drinking protein shakes will make you fit. All bogus. Maybe that is part of this problem of obesity in America.... the misinformed public.

What you say is true but that's not the definition most people think of when they think of dieting. They think they have to change their habits for a limited time which really is a false way of viewing weight loss since you have to change your habits for the rest of your life.

the average person knows next to nothing about health and fitness. they get most of their information from the televised media which is one of the worst places to get accurate information on that topic. they simply repeat what they hear

even the dictionary states that a diet is nothing more than the usual food and drink of an organism. takes about 5 seconds to search for the definition of a word on Google
