This guy moved the Dodgers out of Brooklyn... and baseball has been on the West Coast for 50 years.. and NOW they vote him in? an owner that's called a 'visionary' of course, by the LA Dodgers' shill Tommy LaSorda. How about that this owner crippled baseball in New York City -- when it was the center of the baseball universe, and led to the RESIGNATION of Jackie Robinson who would NOT go to the NY Giants (by trade) nor to the west coast, where he even STARRED for UCLA, as a college-educated man in the 1940s. He's still called Walter F*cking O'Malley in Brooklyn -- and always will be. He should NOT be a Hall of Famer, because there's NO greatness in this -- MLB should have started a franchise out west... and not allowed the Brooklyn Dodgers to become something less, than what they were... and abandon the best fans EVER in MLB history, like that.

I am running a HP DV6000 laptop with XP SP2, have an AMD Athanon 64 2Ghz processor. I have 1GB of RAM which I think is DDRII. I reinstalled XP, cleared out startup programs, have 35 processes running, cleaned out inside of laptop for dust (fans etc), but I still feel it is not as fast as I would like. Would a RAM upgrade be appropriate, or a waste of money? Thanks in advance

I have now checked into this idea for a Year now and i fouind out that.

1. An Iowa class battleship has way to much armor to be pierced by Cruise missle or harpoon.

2. The modern guns of the Battleship can rip a modern destroyer/cruiser in half, and a CV would be dead in the water after one hit.

3.True battleships can be targeted by Subs but that is why you usually have battleships screened by a destroyer or with subs, just like with any carrier fleet today.

4. Modern advances in the battleships could be made today at the cost little since ramjet projectiles have already been successfully tested and fired at 100nm.

5. Arguing the Battleships reactivation cost is useless since reactivation and modernization together costs as much as a mdoern missle frigate.

6. Manpower is a joke since it takes 5000+ men to run a CV when a Iowa class Battleship takes 1,921 men at maxmium capacity (minimum is 800+)

Specifics: Have Comcast HS Internet
Have Linksys 802.11b wireless router
Have 3 Dell Laptops hooked up all hardwired with
network cables.
As of last week everything worked fine.

Now one laptop will not access the internet but the other two will.
I've changed network cables, swapped the non-working laptop into another port on the router even tried wireless to no avail.

Now the weird part -- If I plug the Comcast cable directly into the laptop I can access the Internet . In fact thats how I'm typing this question.

Anybody have any ideas???

Have any of you guys ever received a Chia Pet for Christmas ? Would anyone like to admit to giving a Chia Pet for Christmas? If you can answer 'yes' to either one of these questions would you care to elaborate on your stories?

Here is a new idea for a Chia Pet gift this season. Would you purchase one as a gift? Perhaps two, one for yourself as well?

My parents told me about Mr. Common Sense early in my life and told me I would do well to call on him when making decisions. It seems he was always around in my early years but less and less as time passed by until today I read his obituary. Please join me in a moment of silence in remembrance. For Common Sense had served us all so well for so many generations.

Obituary
Common Sense

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.

He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as knowing when to come in out of the rain, why the early bird gets the worm, life isn't always fair, and maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you earn) and reliable parenting strategies (adults, not children are in charge).

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a six-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job they themselves failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer Aspirin, sun lotion or a sticky plaster to a student; but could not inform the parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar can sue you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason. He is survived by three stepbrothers; I Know my Rights, Someone Else is to Blame, and I'm a Victim.

I am a 25 year old college graduate who is looking to emigrate to Australia. Couple of factors:
Have lived in Australia before as a child. Have had a student visa to Italy recently. Have a degree in International Business. Have worked in construction (sub contracts management, 2 yrs) and industrial sales (account rep, 2 yrs). No criminal record. Have girlfriend come with me is a must. She might have sponsorship with a company. She has a degree in Marketing and has worked in that industry for 3 years now. No criminal record for her either.
My question is, in a number of scenarios what are our chances of being allowed to emigrate? If she has a job lined up and I do not? If neither of us have a job lined up is it possible to emigrate and then find work? Any tips on finding work in Australia for a U.S. national? Basically how do I get to live and work in Australia and what steps do I need to take to acheive that?

I'm willing to not get paid, but I'm affraid maybe I won't get my job back. BTW, I'm an working for a couple of RE agents in CA. Any suggestions?

I thought Christmas all around the world marks the birth of Jesus Christ and is symbolic of Christianity. So why do atheists, agnostics, people who claim to be Christian but don't attend church celebrate and observe this holiday for Christians.

Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus and other religions have their own religious holidays. Why are these holidays not celebrated in America?

My friends were wondering about this strange trend in America?

So, I just went to Wal-Mart on my lunch break to grab a few things I needed. I was just about to turn down a row of parking spaces and saw that the first car on the right hand side was backing out to leave. So I stopped, turned on my turn signal and waited for her to leave. As I started to pull into the spot, a lady in a car that was past that parking spot in the row started to yell at me. She claimed it was her spot. Her car was facing the same direction as mine, so she obviosly had pulled down the row and then saw the car leaving in her rear view mirror. Apparently she would have attempted to back into the spot from where she was (which would have been really difficult, by the way). So I told her it's my spot since she had already driven past it and basically lost out on the chance. She then waited for me to get out of my car so that she could yell at me and call me a bit....h.

Who do you think the parking spot should have belonged to?

Will the blind OSU hating people ever become objective and present sound thoughts on their opinions? I'm sure anyone with intelligence would respect good debate of topics if it wasn't just blind pro SEC propaganda. Give it up already, the North won! USC, LSU, Michigan, Tennessee, Florida, etc etc, they are ALL elite perenial teams...... yet it seems anytime any team from the SEC is "dissed" or snubbed, the world might as well have come to an end and somehow the Big 10 or the BCS is responsible for the "conspiracy". Boise State beat Oklahoma last year, Florida beat the buckeyes last year, thats why they play the game. Can someone just end the bandwagon hate machine and present some intelligent debate?

At first I had an easy time breastfeeding (unlike with my first son) until my milk came in. Now the baby has problems latching on correctly and I really don't even want him to feed that way they hurt so bad. Is there any way I can continue once they go down? Can I just manually pump for a while as if he was feeding that way until they soften up? How long will this last?
I was really happy breastfeeding until my boobs turned into rocks. They are worse than the csection pain. Thanks for your help!

My 4 mth old puppy is great about going outside when I take her. If I am not watching her she is in the crate. I take her out at least every hour and after meals. Twice she has gone and whimpered at the door and when I took her out she went. But the other night she was just hanging out with my son and I and she peed on the carpet.

How do I train her to let me know she has to go out and not soil the carpet?
