Would she ignore it, slap you, ground you, freak out on you, tell your father, kick you out? What would she do, or have done. How would she react. When you were (are) 16 or 17 years old.

You get one mum only. I'd hope disagreement aside, you would immediately apologise sincerely. Do it straight away...or as soon as possible. Obviously you are contrite, just let her know too. Don't let it fester.
As a mum i think an immediate reprimand needs to be registered ( i am the elder of the two after all). A sharp slap..you're NEVER too old, and sent to your room for half an hours think-out.

If I had, I wouldn't be here to answer the question!
I would have never done it though. Had a good relationship with my Mom and she was the best.
Unfortunately she passed away when I was only 22 and I still feel cheated.

She would feel terribly hurt for one, and very upset for another. Why would any child use such language on their mother. If she is not a good mother, there would still be no excuse to use such language. You cannot get anywhere by being rude, angry and vulgar, because everything comes back to you in the end.

When I did it at 19, she smacked my face and then proceeded to beat me. I left that night, it was an over exaggeration on her part and she was justly deserved to be called that.

Mine would/dose give me a look, cross her arms and say "Really?" On a bad day.... she'd yell, a lot.
