It's the old bait and catch routine, Deke. I learned about a week after the block feature was implemented that this is a popular ploy, and I rarely answer such questions now.

However, I keep an account just for the ones who have me blocked, so that I can sneak in and answer their questions.

They do this because they only want answers from people who will validate their own opinions.

I don't think some people can take a different opinion. I try to answer a question sometimes by someone I have never answered before or even had any contact with and find I am blocked. Some people block anyone they do not like their answers.

He did the same to me. I answered politely and directly. Charles if you only want your own opinions why not ask yourself?

I take being blocked by him as a compliment and further evidence that I make a darned fine argument. Blocking someone is the YA equivalent of saying "I surrender. I just don't have the knowledge or ability to debate you".

He's clearly trying to weed out people he can't debate. He just posted.

"Why do unbelievers not believe in a Creator of the heavens and earth?"

I have heard of people who do that, but have never seen so many blocked at once. I ask for opinions and give thumbs up to opinions that do not match mine. I don't block for a difference of opinion and can't believe someone would set a trap just to block others.
It is not loving or tolerant.
At least you know where you stand with him. I hope others do not follow his lead. This is not how it should be.
Where is the respect for others opinions and beliefs?

Ooh. Censorhip. Ouch.

I just went over there and gave you a big thumb up. It was a good answer and fair ~ no sarcasm or insult.

Question. If you block someone can they see your answers and give you thumbs down? Just curious.

P.S. Deke, I hope you have him on block so he can't see this thread and go down the list with his blocking and reporting.

OMG! I wasn't the only one! I was going to ask if Charles's questions were a super secret special access club or something, but it just seems that they are specially designed traps! (He both blocked me and reported my answer...because that is the Christian thing to do, I assume....)

To answer Riegan's Tigger: Yes. Harrass the living daylights out of him. For all of us. Only you can do this...make us proud....

Deke,
You and I do not agree religiously but I always enjoy a good conversation with you it keeps me thinking. I am sorry that anyone who consider themself to be a Christian could think to do such a thing also. I enjoy a good discussion and it always makes me study to find answers when I am able to do so. You have a GREAT HOLIDAY!
Thanks,
Eds

Night Owl,
That was a LOW BLOW! Please do not consider every Christian to be of that mind. Check my answers and questions... I certainly would never ask anything as juvenile as that and I think you can ask others about me if you want to.

We'll see. I just answered it...but I'm not blocked. I thought the question was fairly juvenile...along the lines of "have you stopped beating your wife, yes or no?"

These things are never meant to be loving or tolerant...and so they fit their intent very, very well.

Religious people have an inverted and contradictory view of reality. Consequently, their knowledge, morality, politics are inverted. Concepts like "loving" and "tolerant" become inverted. Etc.

If 200 atheists answer his questions, he can't block us all, right?

I answered his question at 19:38 GMT, I wonder when I'll be blocked...
