no matter how i try i can't seem to let go of my ex. but i know it will not work a second time around. i eat very little if any. should i just ignore my feelings and push myself to go out and meet new people. or should i seek therapy. it seemed to last to long. please help.

i've gained a lot of weight. i went from 120 lbs to 180 lbs. and i'm only 5'4. i feel humilated by my weight. this guy likes me and he's only seen me at my heaviest. i just don't understand what a great guy like him could see in a whale like me. also, i get so self-conscious when we hang out with other girls that are skinnier than me.

My teacher told me to write a 5 to 6 pages essay about Affluenza/ Consumption topic. Here is what she wrote:

You must begin by selecting a topical area within, or related to, the broader subject of affluenza/consumption.

Then, you must pose a “research question” appropriate to the topic.

Your assignment, however, is not to answer the question, but to conduct and write a literature review such as you would write if you were actually conducting the research and writing a journal article on your findings.

I dont get it~ what does she mean? Can any one give me an example?
I was thinking about the topic : how cosmetic affect human boday and enviroment. Is this one suit with the topci about affluenza/ consumption?

I have recently received a letter stating that my driver's license has been suspended under section 46 of the Highway Traffic Act because I did not pay for my fine(s). There's a problem with this though:

1. I have not driven since I got my license.
2. I have never been pulled over by an officer nor have I received a ticket.
3. I was unaware that I had any fine(s).

The problem with this is that they do have my correct mailing address and my driver's license number with my D.O.B. and everything else. I was just looking for some suggestions towards this issue. I'm guessing I have to fight this at a court, correct? The thing is, how would I get out of this since they have my driver's license number and everything correctly. It's going to be basically their word against mine. If I were to ask for proof of this trafffic ticket that they pulled me over for, could they not just make one up?

I just don't understand how any of this happened...
Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Current proofs of Pythagoras' theorem all do so through the comparison of areas of the triangles one way or another. I know of none that is able to prove the theorem using lines alone. As one of the few foundations of mathematics, the theorem holds a very important law, yet one which is too abstract for me to perceive. While the current proofs of the theorem do manage to prove it, they do not actually show why it is so, and do not explain the unique properties of lines, points and angles which give birth to this theorem. So I am wondering if there are any proofs which do not adopt the comparison of area. Otherwise, could anyone tell me why it is impossible to prove the theorem while not using area. What property of area calculation links it to the theorem and makes it the crucial key to proving it?

In the 1960s several designers were working on supersonic transports. The American SST was not funded by Congress and never flew. The Concorde flew successfully for several decades but was never a truly practical transportation system. The Russian SST, as far as I know, never made it into any kind of regular service.

The aviation industry responded with jumbo jets, which dominated air travel for decades. Now the trend seems to be smaller jets and more frequent flights--which overloads the air traffic control system.

Where would you like to see air transportation take us next? Hypersonic travel? Bigger jets such as the new Airbus? Or just a lot more of what we have now?

Why is it that political candidates seem to rely more on Muck-Raking campaign commercials rather than legitimate reasons why I should vote for them? We've all seen the commercials where candidate A didn't fund schools and spent the money on pay raises, or candidate B failed to reduce taxes and spent the money on liquor and cheap hookers. And we all know that candidate A/B totally approved of the message.

Why can't candidates give me good enough reasons to vote for them?
